You've probably heard that Elon Musk and Grimes recently welcomed a baby boy into the world, named X Γ A-12.
But Elon's been making headlines lately for a different reason entirely: his Twitter account. He tweeted last week about his intent to reopen a California Tesla facility, despite local rules concerning the coronavirus:
And yesterday, he told his followers to "take the red pill" β a Matrix reference that has been co-opted by many conservatives and "men's rights activists" to describe the moment you ~see the light~ and join their side:
As you'd probably expect, Musk's "red pill" tweet was celebrated by many on the right, including Ivanka Trump:
Well, one person is none too pleased with Elon's recent Twitter behavior: Grimes' mom, writer Sandy Garossino.
Last night, Sandy fired off a few tweets about Elon's comments, which she seemed to take particular issue with after Grimes' "challenging pregnancy and childbirth."
"If your partner went through a challenging pregnancy and childbirth in the last two weeks..." Sandy wrote in one tweet. "And you were over 16 years old, would you be blaring MRA bullshit on Twitter right now?"
In another tweet, Sandy wrote that she was glad she "muted a certain name on Twitter."
Sandy also replied to a Twitter user who told Elon to "step away from the broflakes" and take care of his son, noting that the baby was "not yet 2 weeks old."
And she retweeted this tweet that suggested Elon Musk should be arrested for reopening his Tesla facility against local orders:
Sandy has since deleted all of those tweets from her timeline, but her "liked" tweets remain. For example, she faved this tweet saying that Elon's Twitter activity "feels very Kanye 2018":
And she liked this tweet from Parker Molloy:
Grimes herself even briefly stepped into the fray, liking (and then unliking) this tweet from BuzzFeed News' Ryan Mac about all the drama:
Elon has yet to respond to Sandy's Twitter activity, but we'll update you if he does. π
