The bill in question was NOT about abortion regulations. Boy, did they want it to look that way, but it was not about that at all.
It was about shuttering about 30 clinics in the state and making it harder for women to exercise their choices, which is a basic right. They pulled some BS “regulations” out of thin air to purposely force clinics that didn’t meet these arbitrary rules to close.
The more restrictions are put on abortions, the more likely the “rusty coat hangers on folding tables” situation is.
No. Just no.
If you think the two are even comparable, I dare you to actually research the practices of female genital mutilation. I dare you.

Response to 10 Retro Ads That Made Women Look Like Idiots:
I’m pretty sure you don’t encounter sexism face-to-face on a daily basis, like many (most) women do. I’m pretty sure you can handle guys being portrayed like bumbling idiots in a few commercials. You still make 30% more than a woman doing your same job does, so don’t you lecture about sexism. I didn’t bother following the links (sorry) but I suspect most of them featured a bumbling guy struggling with some domestic task and then the woman comes to the rescue with whatever product is being advertised. And guess what? That’s still sexist towards women by saying “See! Women are just better suited for housework! Don’t even try to get men to do it!”.
