We Need To Talk About King George From "The Crown"

    King George for the win.

Hello. For those of you who don't know, there is a show on Netflix called The Crown and it is the only thing you should be watching for the rest of the year.

If you love beautiful period costumes and British actors who have perfected their craft, then The Crown is for you! Claire Foy and Matt Smith as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are amazing, as is Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret.

But this isn't about them. It's about King George VI aka Jared Harris. Because this man will destroy you.

Want a good cry? Just think about how much the King loves his family.

And about how much they love him.

Seriously, his mother loves him so much she eviscerates her other son.

    He's a doting, wise father.

Oh, and don't forget how he selflessly stepped up to the plate when his older brother abdicated and became a most beloved king.

When George dies (it's not a fucking spoiler people, it's literally history), you were probably like, "How can I go on?"

Let Princess Margaret sum it up for you.

While you know that this is what happened, but a part of you was hoping that George would actually pop up and be like, "JK, I'm alive!" And if you're me, you looked up if there were any time machines available for purchase.

King George was a rockstar, and Jared Harris brought that to life. Jared doesn't even look like the real King George but we somehow believed that it was him.

So let's think of all the good times we had in two short episodes and a smattering of flashbacks throughout the season. And let's thank Jared Harris for being the best actor on The Crown.
