20 "Doctor Who" Moments That People Say Have Helped Them

"There's no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes."

We recently asked BuzzFeed Community members about TV show moments that have helped them.

We received so many ones about Doctor Who, that we decided to spin them out to its own post. We also added some suggestions from BuzzFeed Staff.

    1. When Amy (Karen Gillan) found out that Van Gogh still took his own life even though they tried to help.

    Doctor Who / BBC Wales

"It gave me such hope in a difficult time in my life, because it helped me not feel guilty for grieving. So often, we look at the good in our life and feel guilty for being sad. But at the same time, I was able to be grateful for the good things in times of sadness, because I knew my grief didn't steal from their value.

"Knowing that the good and bad, sadness and joy, could co-exist and be 'independent' from each other really helped."

    - Suggested by Hanne on Facebook.

    2. When The Doctor met Novice Hame (Anna Hope) and they talked about the Face of Boe.

    7. When the Eleventh Doctor met a young Amelia Pond.

    BBC Wales / Doctor Who

    8. When The Doctor met the soul of the TARDIS as a human body called Idris (Suranne Jones), who said this as her last words before returning into the machine.
