15 Artists You Might Be Surprised To Find Out Are Managed By Scooter Braun

    Scooter Braun's career seems to be in a period of change. The polarising music man has allegedly been ditched by many of his high profile clients in recent months – including Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, and Ariana Grande – in what some are calling a mass exodus from his company, SB Projects.

    There's little to no information out there right now as to WHY people are walking out on Scooter, because the news has only really just come out, but the internet is poised for some boiling hot tea any time now.

    Some have claimed that Scooter is moving away from management to step into a new role as CEO of Hybe America – a subsidiary of the South Korean entertainment company that manages BTS. But others believe that something more sinister is afoot...

    Scooter is no stranger to scandal, having controversially bought the master recordings of Taylor Swift's first six studio albums from under her in 2019, and entered into a bitter feud with the singer. Indeed, Taylor memorably called him the "definition of a toxic male privilege in our industry".

    Now the news of another artist's departure from SB Projects – Idina Menzel who apparently left the company earlier this year after signing back in 2019 – has cast further aspersions on Scooter.

    As we await more news (and reflect on the fact that Idina Menzel was managed by Scooter – who knew???) we thought it would be interesting to look at which artists remain affiliated with SB Projects for the time being...

    According to Buzzing Pop, the "Sweet but Psycho" singer signed to Scooter Braun Projects for management ahead of the release of her second studio album, Diamonds & Dancefloors, this year.

    2. Carly Rae Jepsen

    Scooter allegedly hunted down Carly after her hit song "Call Me Maybe" became a huge hit worldwide. She signed a deal with him in 2012, but has ~apparently~ not been with SB Projects since 2016.

    3. Black Eyed Peas

    Scooter has managed the group since 2015, but not individual members will.i.am or Fergie, the latter of whom left the group in 2018.

    As well as being managed by Danny Zook as a part of Migos, the group's frontman signed up to Scooter Braun for management in April 2021. In 2023, Hybe (the company Scooter is now CEO of) acquired American hip hop record label Quality Control Music, which also represents Migos.

    The New York-based electro-music duo signed with SB Projects back in 2016, and released their third studio album in 2022.

    13. Lil Dicky

    The rapper and comedian announced he was signing to SB Projects back in 2012, captioning a photo with "Shout out @scooterbraun for believing in me - I'm bout to work him like a dog".

    14. The Kid Laroi

    The Australian star initially joined SB Projects in June 2021 before leaving in September of that year. He rejoined Braun's company back in May last year.
