People have since seen him on Tinder and claimed he allegedly identifies as "female" on the app:
One critic wrote this, which James assumed was about him. The tweet said gay men should not set their Tinder settings to female, so that straight men can match with them.
James responded to the user in a string of tweets and said he lists himself as "androgynous," not female. He also said he unmatched with anyone who said they were straight.
James said having conversations with people he matches with is "not predatory," and that although he doesn't participate, "'curious' men use feminine gays as an outlet to experiment."
James also said that although he deleted his dating apps last week, he has in the last six months gone on "dates with gay, bisexual, and closeted men" — not "straight men."
He went to say he faces harassment from people who "only match to take screenshots or make videos & a spectacle of me."
Wow. Well, bottom line: Let everyone's dating app experience be respectful and drama-free! That's all, bye!
