Armie Hammer Posted An Instagram About Not Facing Criminal Charges, And His Mom Commented

Armie's post comes after the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office concluded that he will face no criminal charges.

This post contains discussions of rape and abuse.

Last year, Armie Hammer faced backlash and allegations and was removed from movie roles after his disturbing cannibalism messages were leaked.

Armie's texts and behavior were the subject of House of Hammer, the Discovery+ documentary that also featured survivors sharing their encounters with him.

"I have a fantasy about having someone prove their love and devotion and tying them up in a public place at night and making their body free use"

Shortly after his messages were initially leaked, a woman named Effie came forward and alleged that Armie violently raped her in a hotel room. "On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles, during which he repeatedly slapped my head against a wall, bruising my face," she said during a virtual press conference. "He also committed other acts of violence against me, to which I did not consent."

Another ex of his, Paige Lorenze, said Armie was a "scary person" who made rules for what she could and could not do.

In a feature with Air Mail, Armie insisted that all of his relationships were consensual; however, when asked if he was emotionally abusive to exes, he said, "One million percent."

Following the allegations of rape, abuse, and cannibalism, Armie moved to the Cayman Islands. He was spotted in Los Angeles once in July.

Flash-forward to today. The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office told CNN that based on their investigation, Armie Hammer will not face criminal charges. "Sexual assault cases are often difficult to prove, which is why we assign our most experienced prosecutors to review them. In this case, those prosecutors conducted an extremely thorough review but determined that at this time, there is insufficient evidence to charge Mr. Hammer with a crime," Director of the Bureau of Communications Tiffiny Blacknell said.

Armie posted about this on Instagram. He wrote, "I am very grateful to the District Attorney for conducting a thorough investigation and coming to the conclusion that I have stood by this entire time, that no crime was committed. I look forward to beginning what will be a long, difficult process of putting my life back together now that my name is cleared.”

One thing that was explored in House of Hammer was the power of the Hammer family. His ex Paige also alleged that his mother, Dru, told her that Armie had "demonic" behavior.

Well, Dru commented, "YESSSSSSSS SON GOD HAS EXONERATED YOU," she wrote. "The truth ALWAYS comes out!!!!! I am and have always been proud of you, son. ILYF @armiehammer."
