"Stop having people trash me on your show."

This week, Andy Cohen appeared on The Howard Stern Show to promote his new book, The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up.

Howard asked him how he felt about Madonna being one of the only pop icons who hasn't done Andy's talk show Watch What Happens Live. "Madonna still has not done the show. I'm actually kind of over it because in my Notes app, I was keeping a long list of interview questions for her in case she ever did the show, and she's kind of answered a lot of it," he said.

"I've mellowed about it. She and I have been in touch a little bit over the years. A couple years ago, I reached out to her and said, 'Anderson [Cooper] and I are coming to see you tonight.' She was doing a special surprise performance for something."

"She said to me 'Stop having people trash me on your show.'"

Andy said he texted her back, "I speak so positively — on the radio and Watch What Happens Live. Only the bad stuff gets picked up." Here's how it'd look to have Madonna putting you in your place.

Andy added that on his Sirius show, Andy's Kiki Lounge, he plays Madonna's music constantly.

Now, I went back and found some instances where celebs have trashed Madonna on WWHL. In 2017, Broadway star Patti Lupone said this:

And in 2016, Benjamin Bratt insinuated Madonna was a bad actor.

    Bravo

BUT! As an avid watcher of WWHL, I will say that Andy is always complimentary of Madonna and all music legends and divas.

So, let's hope Madonna can one day grace the Clubhouse with her presence. I'm sure it would be iconic.
