This "WandaVision" And "Doctor Strange" Theory Is A Little Too Perfect

So, we as a society are currently seven episodes deep into WandaVision and we are all better for it, despite being left with a cliffhanger every. friggin'. week.

If you watched Episode 7, you learned (to no surprise) that Agnes has been a powerful witch named Agatha Harkness all along cue theme song. Prior to the reveal, as Wanda looks through Agatha's creepy basement, the camera focuses on an ancient-lookin' book that gives off a magical glow.

Now, there's currently no confirmation as to what this book is or what it could mean, given that the episode ended literally minutes later, but there have been some smart guesses by some eagle-eyed Marvel fans. One of which is Tzvi Slomnicki, who goes by @tslom on TikTok:

In his theory that's now been viewed over 6 million times, he noted that while watching Doctor Strange, he saw that a book from the Ancient One's private collection is weirdly missing.

In the scene itself, Dr. Strange is being shown a special section of Kamar-Taj's library that is reserved for masters. When Strange asks Wong about a particular wall of books, he notes that they're the Ancient One's private collection, but there is no mention of why one book is missing in the film.

Later in the film, Dr. Strange uses the Eye of Agamotto — which can manipulate the flow of time — to bring back stolen pages from one of those heavily guarded spell books called The Book of Cagliostro, which is the study of time. TLDR; these books are powerful as hell and sought after.

Now, if you didn't already know, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed last year that WandaVision, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Spider-Man: No Way Home will "form a loose trilogy, with the events of each project leading into the next as the door to the multiverse is opened."

And given that the Doctor Strange sequel is coming next March and Spider-Man is coming this December, that means we're getting closer to the moment where Doctor Strange and Wanda's worlds collide. So is it possible that @tslom is right and the glowing book in Agatha's basement is one from the Ancient One's private collection? Possibly!

There have been some other solid theories for what this book could be. ScreenRant says the book could either be the Necronomicon, which is an ancient spell book that has the power to conjure up demons. Or it could also be the Darkhold, which is a book containing evil works and spells, one of which allows the conjurer to control the will of others.

Whether or not these books belonged in the Ancient One's private collection is up for debate, but either way, it seems like commenters believe @tslom is onto something good!
