These "Barbie" Posters Confirm Who Each Actor Is Playing, Including Who's A Barbie, A Ken, A Human, And More

The first character posters for Greta Gerwig's Barbie are here, and we finally know who Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Dua Lipa, Nicola Coughlan, and more are starring as.

So, I think it's safe to say that Barbie is the most anticipated movie of the summer of 2023.

Directed by Greta Gerwig and written by her and Noah Baumbach, Barbie is set to follow Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) as Barbie changed the landscape for children's toys. The film also marks the first time a live-action Barbie movie has been made.

Up until this point, besides a handful of viral photos of Margot and Ryan filming, a teaser trailer filled with Easter eggs, and basically every single actor you love being cast in it, not much has been revealed about Barbie.

But today, we finally got more details on who some of the actors are playing through these incredible posters that were just released.

First, we've, of course, got Margot and Ryan playing THE Barbie and Ken:

Here's Emma Mackey, whose Barbie has "a Nobel Prize in physics":

Then, Ncuti Gatwa as a Ken, who apparently loves to play music:

And to round out the Sex Education reunion, we've got Connor Swindells, who plays "an intern or something":

Here's Nicola Coughlan, who plays a Barbie who is a diplomat:

Simu Liu is another Ken:

While Michael Cera is Allan, and there's apparently only one of him:

Kingsley Ben-Adir is...yup...a Ken:

Dua Lipa stars as a mermaid Barbie:

Will Ferrell plays the "insensitive" Mattel CEO:

And as we suspected with the first teaser trailer, Helen Mirren is the narrator:

Hari Nef, a model who is best known for her breakthrough role in Transparent, stars as a doctor Barbie:

On Instagram, Hari shared how she almost couldn't do the movie because of a scheduling conflict. She wrote a letter to Greta and Margot asking if they could shift the schedule a little so she could join, explaining the importance of Barbie to her and her transgender friends.

The Umbrella Academy star Ritu Arya will play a Barbie who has a Pulitzer:

Kate McKinnon stars as a Barbie who "is always in the splits":

Here's America Ferrera as a HUMAN, not a Barbie:

Sharon Rooney, who notably starred in My Mad Fat Diary, portrays a Barbie who is a lawyer:

Alexandra Shipp is playing a Barbie who is "a celebrated author":

Fleabag star Jamie Demetriou is a guy in a suit, who I'm assuming works with Will and Connor's characters:

Ariana Greenblatt, who notably starred in Disney Channel's Stuck in the Middle, is playing another human:

Emerald Fennell stars as Midge, who I can already tell is gonna be hysterical:

Here's Ana Cruz Kayne, who also appeared in Greta's Little Women, as a Supreme Court Justice Barbie.

And finally, here's Scott Evans as...you guessed it...a Ken:

I'm actually obsessed that all of the Barbies have jobs and identities while the Kens are just Kens — Greta, you genius, you.

Anyway, that's all the new info we've got for Barbie for now, but let's be honest, I could know nothing about this movie and still be as excited as I am right now.
