Kim Kardashian Was Accused Of Blackfishing And Copying Looks From Famous Black Women For Her Vogue Cover Shoot, And Naomi Campbell "Liked" A Post Calling Her Out

"Kim and Vogue said 'Black History Month.'"

Naomi Campbell "liked" an Instagram post accusing Kim Kardashian of Blackfishing in her Vogue cover shoot.

The Instagram page Diet Prada published a series of side-by-side images of Kim's Vogue shoot with pictures of famous Black women in remarkably similar poses and styles — including Nina Simone, Beyoncé, and Naomi.

"Kim and Vogue said 'Black History Month,'" the caption sarcastically read, alongside #naomicampbell.

And it looks like Naomi herself approved of the post — because she gave it a like.

This isn't the first time Kim has been accused of copying Naomi's looks. Back in 2019, she captioned a post where she wore the same Versace dress that Naomi debuted in 1996 "Naomi Forever" — after Diet Prada previously called out Kim for wearing multiple similar looks to Naomi. “I’ve always been so open that she is the ultimate fashion and glam muse. She got the best runway looks," Kim told People shortly after.

Naomi herself never commented, previously telling Entertainment Tonight “Next question" when she was asked about a rumored feud. Even back in 2014, when Kim and Kanye covered Vogue, she responded to a question about the cover, “I do not want to comment. ... I’m a fashion model and I’ve been working for 28 years, and when you get a Vogue cover, it’s a build in your career."

Of course, Kim herself has a long history of being accused of cultural appropriation and Blackfishing. She told i-D magazine last year that she "obviously would never do anything to appropriate any culture. But I have in the past got backlash from putting my hair in braids and I understand that."
