1. A set of bra liners because sometimes you need a little extra help staying dry in what seems like the sweatiest place on your body — and summer's not quite over yet.

amazon.com

Promising review: "I'm embarrassed that I didn't know there was a product to help with bra discomfort and sweat. I can't believe I suffered through underwire and under-sweat for so many years! I purchased it to see if it helped the sweating and it totally did. Moreover, it's made all my bra super comfortable. I typically can't wait to take my bra off at night, resulting in a loud sigh of relief. However, while I'm wearing this, I don't have bra discomfort. It also doesn't appear under tighter shirts, which I expected, so I can't see any reason not to try this." —bubbleslovesoap

2. A foam kitchen sponge that literally lasts for months on end without getting stinky, no matter how many dishes you wash.

Natalie Brown / BuzzFeed

Just make sure to follow basic sponge hygiene: 1) always rinse it out completely so there isn't any food left sitting on it and 2) when you're done washing your dishes, squeeze it out well and leave it somewhere it will actually dry.

Promising review: "I have been buying these sponges for a few years now and you can't go wrong! They are a bit on the expensive side but they last forever!! No foul smell after a few weeks!!! They hold the dish soap suds, and the scrubber side does not fall apart after a few uses.

I do dishes every day and one of these sponges will last me at least 8 months, sometimes longer. There is not a better sponge for me, and I will not buy any other sponge." —Wendy

3. A bug-a-salt 2.0 so you can rid your house of pests without running around hopelessly brandishing a fly swatter.

I know, I know...kinda gross. But it works. Promising review: "So I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband and I'm not entirely sure that was a smart move on my part. Not because the product doesn't work (it works very well in fact) but because my husband is now intent on leaving the doors open to the house when summer comes back around so all kinds of bugs can be let in for him to kill. He's already had the pleasure of being able to use it on a spider that was on an outdoor Christmas decoration and boy was he ecstatic! Since we seem to be in short supply of bugs in the house during these cold winter months, my husband has also resorted to using this gun as a way to add salt to food while he's cooking. Anything to keep him entertained I guess? In conclusion, yes this product works, yes it kills bugs, and yes you can even use it while cooking if you're tired of using the boring old salt shakers we have all grown accustomed to." —Adrianna McCainGet it on Amazon for $39.95.

4. A two-pack of charcoal shoe deodorizers that absorb all the sweat and stench from your favorite pair of shoes after a long day.

Promising review: "I have a pair of black leather flats that stank so badly my husband would yell at me if I took them off anywhere near him. But I love the shoes!!! So I had to find something to make the stench go away. Mini Moso was the answer. I honestly couldn’t believe it. A few days after placing them in my prized off shoes I took a whiff from about a foot away. Nothing. I got closer. Nothing. I stuck my nose practically in the shoe. Ok, maybe that’s pushing things, but I’ve got to tell you that 95% of the broken-in leather grossness was gone. So happy!!!" —ErinGet them on Amazon for $9.95.

Promising review: "My poor 16-year-old athletic son has always struggled with foot odor. He packs three or four extra pairs of socks with him everywhere he goes. We have tried everything from mint extract between the toes, foot powders, going to the doctor and getting prescription sprays etc.... NOTHING has worked. But this amazing bottle of spray is a miracle!!!! My son sprays his shoes each day with this and even his gym bags. He no longer has smelly feet or shoes. I'm so happy for him that he no longer has to feel self conscious about his feet." —Amazon CustomerGet it on Amazon for $9.99.

6. An egg and fruit peeler that gracefully strips hardboiled eggs of their shell in half the time it takes to do it by hand.

amazon.com

Promising review: "Wow Wow Wow. This product works!!! By the time my coffee finished brewing, I had peeled ten eggs. I used to be so frustrated (I love to make deviled eggs) because of how hard boiled eggs are to peel. Half the egg usually stayed on the shell and the eggs were not appetizing to look at. I was skeptical. It was not expensive, it was simple looking, how could this work? The product is made in Sweden (go Sweden!) and there are no instructions except for a few drawings on the back. I looked at the drawings to get started. Cracked the egg on one of the bottoms, pushed the curved tip of the spoon (curve with the egg), and I started to rotate it clockwise around the egg at the same time I turned the egg toward me. Even the hard ones I was able to peel. I got the skin and all. Some of the eggs slipped out the shell and the almost the entire shell was in tact. I only had one that was not perfect because it had cracked in the boil. I understand why they give you two, because if you lose one you have another one as you will never boil eggs again without one. Awesome product!" —May McD"

Another pro-tip for peeling hardboiled eggs: stick with eggs that are at least a few days old, because fresher eggs are harder to peel.

7. A sunrise alarm clock that will actually help you wake up even if you usually oversleep — it gradually gets brighter to start waking up your body before you become fully conscious.

It's also useful for shorter days in the winter when it's still completely dark in the mornings — or teens who struggle to get up for school. Promising reviews: "This thing works great. I’m a chronic over-sleeper, and alarms used to fill me with despair and hatred for the world. This thing is a gentle and kind beacon of hope in the morning. The light fades up, and the birds start chirping, and it’s time to greet the day! Can’t wait to see what it does for me in the Seattle winter. It’s not a miracle. It obviously works best when you’ve had enough sleep in the first place." —Micol C. "The first night I was having second guesses because the numbers were sooo bright, but contacted Philips and figured out I had missed the step to edit that setting to dim the numbers. Now I love it. So much better to wake up to some light and birds....it sounds just like the real sunrise in my backyard...except I can schedule it. Highly recommend it if you generally try to wake up with the sun and you need a boost in the winter." —DewolfGet it on Amazon for $89.99 (or upgrade to their top-of-the-line version, $97.99. 8. And a journal designed to help you relax on those nights when your brain seems determined to keep you awake.

Promising review: "This is surprisingly helpful for my anxiety. If I wake up in the middle of the night I write down whatever popped in my head that woke me up and how there's nothing I can do about it at 3:37am so might as well go back to sleep. It's weird, but it helps." —Amazon CustomerGet it on Amazon for $11.

9. A teflon-coated umbrella that automatically opens and closes at the press of a button, resists blowing inside-out because of a rogue wind gust, weighs less than one pound, and has a lifetime replacement guarantee.

amazon.com, amazon.com

I mean, what more could you want out of an umbrella? It's light enough you can always carry it in your bag so you're never caught without it. It will only blow inside-out at the worst of times, and even then it easily flips back to normal. And if/when it happens to break, you don't have to pay for a new one.

Promising review: "What a blessing this has been. It's been raining in Louisiana non-stop; we are actually flooding here right now. I couldn't have gotten this at a better time. The quality of this umbrella is really nice. It is really compact and small, so it fits easily into my purse or my work bag. Even though it is compact when closed, it opens up to a really good size. It comes with a cover to put it in. This allows less dripping from the umbrella itself; which can get all over our cars and cause it to smell. Because it's made with of Teflon, it repels the water and allows for pretty close to immediate drying. It's basically a Rain-X umbrella, so to speak. I used it yesterday and it really did dry up that quick.

The umbrella actually has a nine-rib construction, unlike the normal six or eight ribs. This means that it is able to withstand higher wind gusts without flipping inside out. It has an easy open and close function, you just press the button on the handle and voila. There is a wrist strap for easy carrying when you are not using it. Overall, this is a really nice quality and solidly built umbrella. I see this lasting a really long time and hey, if it doesn't, there is a lifetime replacement guarantee. Cannot beat that." —MiRu

Get it on Amazon for $20.95.

10. A microfiber hair towel that soaks up more water faster than regular terrycloth, so your hair always dries quickly, whether you blow-dry or air-dry.

instagram.com, Natalie Brown / BuzzFeed

Plus it's lightweight, which minimizes breakage — I have one of these (that's me on the right) and use it/love it in combination with my John Frieda Hot Air Brush to pull off low-key blowouts. And just generally get my hair, like, 85-90% dry.

Promising reviews: "I have thick, naturally curly hair. Generally, my hair takes forever to dry. This towel helps my hair to dry about twice as fast. Getting out of the shower, I wrap my hair in this towel while I get dressed and I no longer have to worry about my hair completely drenching my shirt as soon as I take it out of the towel. It really dries it to a manageable level of dryness in just a minute or two. I would definitely recommend, it does speed up the drying process." —YogaDogs

"I received my first towel from my mom about 20 years ago, and I am now on my third one. That tells me that each of them last about 10 years which is pretty impressive. And I use it EVERY SINGLE DAY. I wrap my hair in it after I get out of the shower until I'm ready to blow dry. The towel keeps my hair just the right amount of damp, without drying completely and looking wacky, even if I leave the towel on for thirty minutes. It is very lightweight and never falls off while I'm getting ready or making breakfast or whatever. I have shoulder-length hair." —Jason Patrick Duane

Get them on Amazon for $20.99+ (8 colors). It also comes in in a "turban" version, which uses elastic and a button to make it even more secure — that's also $20.99+ (6 colors) — or a long-hair version, which is bigger to fit more hair, for $24.99 (3 colors).

11. An apple-shaped mat perfect for deep-cleaning your makeup brushes — it might just inspire you to wash them more often.

amazon.com

I tested and reviewed this myself, and loved it!

Promising review: "I have a lot of brushes, including the 10 pc set that are the dupes for the Artis brushes, and it took no time at all to clean them and they rinsed thoroughly! I just used a drop or two of Dawn dish soap then rubbed/scrubbed them on the mat. There are suction cups on the bottom but when I cleaned my beauty blenders I did have to hold the mat. I wasn't annoyed at all though, because they came completely clean! My blenders are not the name brand so I was pleasantly surprised at how clean they got. You know how certain foundations can stain and I hadn't washed mine for a while. Long story short, buy this. You won't regret it." —Pam C

12. A pack of extra-strength snore strips so everyone (the snorer and their partner or roommate) can actually sleep better night after night.

It's so loud that it will keep everyone up at night, especially in the same room. She's had this for years. Repositioning hasn't worked. I would go up to her and physically roll her over or wake her up just so it would stop. Anyways, got this after the high reviews and OMG, it really works. Her snoring went from 100% loud to like 10-20% if even. Oh shall there be peace from now on after hours :) get this for your beastly loved ones. Do yourself the favor." —PC

15. A cleaner and microfiber cloth set that makes smudgy screens look out-of-the-box new with a few simple swipes.

amazon.com

Promising review: "I travel a lot with my iPad and the screen gets dirty from being in airports, public transportation, etc. Basically I'm the user that battle tests hardware. I've used just about every screen cleaner on the market from wipes to sprays in combination with just about every kind of microfiber cloth you can think of. Most of them just kind of move around the dirt and fingerprints. It's beyond frustrating.

If you follow the instructions and spray onto the included cloth, then this stuff gets any screen obscenely clean. I've cleaned my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, iPad, and multiple TVs in my house to "like new" cleanliness. After use the screen is so clean I almost don't want to touch it again. Simply put, this stuff works. With respect to the cost, if it truly does have 1500+ sprays per bottle, this is the easily one of the least expensive screen cleaning options available.

As for the "natural" I could honestly care less. I have no kids and no intentions of spraying this in or around my mouth, but if that's something you are into, then you get a win-win." —J Howland

16. A pack of 20 reusable cord wraps to neatly corral nearly every cord you come into contact with so you can stop regularly untangling, and, if they're long, tripping on them.

Promising reviews: "I love that you can attach the tie to the cord, which makes rolling up and re-fasten cords quick and easy. Already I have used them on home appliances, electronics, and hair tools (straightener, blow dryer). These cable ties help a lot with managing all types of cords, and my next project will be tackling the cords for our entertainment center. This particular package comes with just the right amount of ties for each size, and I know I'll have enough to last quite a while. Very happy!" —Monica"Love these things. No seriously, they have so many uses that I honestly didn't even think about when I initially ordered them. I bought them to use as cable ties for my desk, which they work perfectly for, but I've also since used them to wrap cords for stored appliances, wrap my headphones in my purse to keep them from getting tangled, I even use them to wrap the handles of my canvas grocery bags together to keep stuff from falling out and to attach things to my purse straps." —Nicole N. Promising review: "I bought these in hopes that they would help me handle longer distances in walking and better workouts. I use them in my athletic shoes which I wear when I work out and also when I walk my dog every day. Also I wear athletic shoes when I know I will be going someplace where I will be doing a lot of walking without a lot of sitting. (Think amusement parks and shopping malls). I am surprised at how comfortable these insoles are. They fit my shoes perfectly. They are very comfortable to wear. I recently bought 3 more for other athletic shoes that had the original insoles or needed more support. Feet do not sweat with these. They are substantial but not heavy. They are not entirely stiff but do allow for some motion. If you have flat feet, these are worth trying! Choose your correct shoe size!!" —Stevie WilsonGet the pair on Amazon for $15.69.

18. A silicone drain protector that stops hair (human or dog) in its tracks so you avoid a backed-up, clogged bathtub — and a call to your plumber.

amazon.com, amazon.com

Plus this model fits nicely over any drain, whether it's a pop-up, sink-in, or flat and flush to the rest of the tub.

Promising review: "After tossing away quite a few cheap-o drain protectors that became dingy over time no matter how I soaked and scrubbed them, I decided to splurge on this OXO silicone drain protector. I've been very impressed! It's tall enough to fit easily over my pop-up drain and (even without suction cups) the weighted top keeps it in place — even with my faucet running almost directly on it. I have medium-length hair and seem to shed almost as much as my cat, but the drain protector catches it all, then it's easily removed and tossed away. Best of all, in my case, the silicone hasn't held onto mildew or mold — I've been able to spray and wipe away any grime with very little effort. It looks like this drain protector will last a very long time. This has been a very worthy purchase for the few dollars more!" —Suneimi

amazon.com, amazon.com

It folds up, too, so you can easily carry it to and from the car.

Promising review: "Superb stadium seats. My wife and I purchased these to take to our granddaughter's volleyball games. I figured let's try them out as the price was right for two stadium seats. We brought them to the games which lasted several hours. Our daughter and grandson laughed when they saw us sitting in the chair figuring the chairs were good for the "old folks." But once the games started and several games were played, our daughter was not laughing any longer. She said the chairs seemed like a great idea as her back was beginning to ache.

The chairs were very comfortable the entire time. It was nice being able to sit with a back rest and a cushion for our derriere. After the hours were finished, we both felt great and no hurting backs or back sides. Kudos to Ohuhu Stadium chairs!" —Jeff J.

21. A handy jar opener because when faced with a jar that adamantly refuses to open, sometimes all you need is a little ~leverage~.

Promising review: "I first bought this product in 1984 after the birth of my daughter. My hand was hurting from opening baby food jars. I picked this up at a local store and had it for years. 20+ years later, the same daughter moved out of the house and I gave her my original one. When I visited her, I saw and used the old red handled one and realized how much I missed having one.I received it a few days ago and have already used it and am happy to have my old friend back. It looks to be identical to my old one and I'm very pleased to be independent enough to open a jar for myself again.I highly recommend this, because it expands to a huge jar, or shrinks down to the smallest. With the handle positioned as it is, it gives you the proper leverage to open your jar without straining your hands or wrists. I am so pleased that these are still produced. amazon.com, amazon.com

Promising reviews: "I absolutely love these. I haven't found anything yet that they don't work with. Right now I have them on my lotion, shampoo and conditioner bottles. I have always tipped my bottles over but they fall over and these help with that. I highly recommend these if you like to get the last drop out of your bottles." —Amazon Customer

"So I am currently using it on a bottle of lotion that has a good amount still in there at the bottom. It's especially good to use with bottles that have pump dispensers. They just cannot get the final 1/4 or more out. This product is very stable on the bottles and is easy to dispense when you are ready. Let gravity and the flip-it work for you and save money. Some bottles do not sit stable when turned upside down, but this gadget helps to keep everything level while it sits waiting for your next use. There are different sizes of toppers and it is easy to assemble." —Scrap Queen

Sometimes, I believe she thinks she's on Top Chef or chopped. When she gets into julienning, I'm just waiting with car keys in hand to take her to the ER.

So, as a proactive measure, I purchased these. They are quite comfortable. They stretch with excellent elasticity. She loves them and I feel more comfortable that she is wearing something that can protect her. She has used these gloves dozens of times. Not a single issue and she has washed them with the kitchen towels. No problem. For about $10, it's a great safety tool for the kitchen." —Jon

The yellow bothered me enough that I wanted to photoshop my teeth in pictures before! It's hard to tell when you look in the mirror, so take pictures before and after. Those tell the truth!I like that they strips adhere firmly to your teeth. I'm allergic to most adhesives, but I rinsed really well and then brushed my teeth after use, and I didn't have a problem with these. The brief time they are on wasn't enough to bother me much.My teeth are really sensitive, so yeah, it can give you a little nerve pain (just like ice cream), but it was tolerable. It's worth it, as far as I'm concerned." —Michelle NGet the strips on Amazon for $43.99.
