A little spooky, a little sparkly, a little sexy, and everything in-between.
Promising review: "So I just got this in the mail and I love it so far! It is light weight, well made, and freaking adorable! I was afraid it wasn't going to fit because my waist measurements were a few inches bigger than what was listed, but the amazing stretchy back made it a perfect fit! Not too tight, not too loose! I will be able to wear my strapless bra with it and the chest area will be perfect fit too. I bought this for the New Orleans Red Dress Run, however I will be able to wear it all the time!" —Rachel L Weber
Get it on Amazon for $18.69+ (most priced at $25.99; sizes XS–XXXL, 37 colors and patterns available, not all polka-dots).
Hello, Stevie Nicks. Could also work for a pirate-ish outfit, but that doesn't start with a "w"! It does actually come with a (short) slip that goes underneath, but otherwise is just lace; reviewers who ordered the S–M sizes seem to have luck with the included slip, while those who ordered the L–XL sizes tend to need a longer one.
Promising review: "Love it! It’s a totally see-through lace and comes with an under-slip which is way too short for me but I have one in my closet that works, so no big deal. It is absolutely comparable to the thrice-the-price Free People brand. You can accessorize it up for a funky look with boots and denim jacket or wear to a fancy-dress event with heels and jewelry." —DS NYC

Reviewers say to definitely order by the sizing chart, which may have you sizing up a bit.
Promising reviews: "This cloak has a very nice hang to it, and is a great value for the money. The fabric drapes well and doesn't look cheap, see-through, or shiny. The shiny ribbon ties at the neck do look a bit cheap, so I removed them with a seam ripper, and the robe still stayed on my shoulders with no slipping all evening. The hood is very full and looks great either up or down." —Jennifer Hardee
"My eight-year-old wanted a cloak for general dress-up and many of them were specific to a certain character or theme. He has used this cloak to play wizards, magicians, star wars, to dress up at Harry Potter AND Professor Snape, to dress as the grim reaper, and even as a priest. He has also pretended it was an invisibility cloak. We love how versatile this is! He's been playing with it for months. He has worn it outside, to play in the woods, and in the comfort of home and it has held up so far." —Erin

You could even get the blue one, paste on your own planets and stars, and be Ms. Frizzle...or add a red ribbon and yellow hat to be Madeline! As with all of these outfits, be sure to check the size chart to figure out which to order; and several reviewers report that the dye runs when you wash it, so you may want to consider dry clean only.
Promising review: "I spent entirely too many middle-of-the-night hours comparing Wednesday Addams dresses and finally settled on this one. I'm so happy I did! The quality is super high (in relation to the very cheap cost) — there's even a little pearl bead underneath the back of the collar at the top of the zipper and an extra pearl bead sewn in the bottom hem tag. I generally shy away from polyester garments but this one hangs very nicely (95 poly/5 spandex). Great dress!" —HelloKitteh
Get it on Amazon for $12.99+ (sizes XS–XL which the brand defines as 4–20 and reviewers say is more like 2–18; six colors, some color availability depends on the size).
Promising review: "This is fantastic! It fits beautifully and has a lovely dragging train like Morticia would wear. I'm 5'9" and there's probably a foot long train on the ground. If you're short, plan for heels. The bodice is not as low as the picture looks but still nice. Its good quality and fits so well. I'm so excited to wear it! I will add that this needs to be ordered early. I ordered it on 9/14, it shipped from the U.K. on 9/18 and I received it 10/4. I contacted the seller when I hadn't received it by the expected by delivery date and they told me that Amazon actually picks that date, not the seller. The seller was very nice and replied very quickly to my questions. So, I'd order earlier than needed and be patient. This costume is worth it." —Tanya

Look at those "Supermarket Sweep" cuties! Just add some paint or construction paper cut-outs to make the sweatshirt the perfect costume. You can even be a cactus!
Promising review: "I actually bought this for myself for my '80s Flashdance costume that I wore on halloween. I cut it up and stretched it for the costume and it was ideal! It is very soft and warm on the inside and the color is nice. Size runs true and now I wear the sweatshirt with my pjs or just to lounge around. :)" —Bri

You could also totally use it as a petticoat under the right dress.
Promising review: "This tutu is really pretty, it fits perfectly, and you can't see through it due to the protective slip underneath it. I had bought another tutu and it was really short and thin, so I am combining the two tutus for extra fluff and layering. This one is good on it's own, but you can see the liner. If you want a fuller tutu, I would suggest adding some tulle to this one or combining two tutus. I like that this tutu is long as well, but I would still wear some shorts or something underneath it. A beautiful tutu." —Whitney

This goes for all year, but basically double anytime you go to any party, Vegas, or out for Halloween.
Promising review: "Ok so I was torn about buying this dress, but couldn't find anything else for my 10-year Vegas anniversary that was show-stopping, head-turning, accident-causing-gorgeous. Well let me tell you, this did it. The sequins didn't aggravate my underarm. I was the sexiest thing on the strip. Was hit on by guys and girls while with my hubby. Don't hesitate buy the dress!" —Daisy Hodge

Promising review: "These are the best tights ever. I wore them with a Halloween costume as a jellyfish. They are not the best fabric, a non-breathable polyester, but how often are you really wearing these? They do have a good stretch. I also wore these with a black turtle neck and cat ears earlier in the day, and everyone thought it was hilarious that I was a 'catfish.'" —Belén
Get them on Amazon for $12.90+ (sizes S–4XL, 14 colors). The same company makes a maxi skirt in the same fabric — that's also Amazon for $26.90+ (sizes S–XXL, two colors).
Promising review: "The perfect pleated plaid skirt! I have this brand skirt in solid colors with a slightly different style having a yoke above the pleats. I ordered this skirt in the same size and it is perfect sizing just like the other style. The waist measurement is exactly as listed, the pleats are sell defined and keep their shape extremely well. This skirt is 16" long which is one inch longer than the yoke style which actually makes it a perfect length. Unlike the yoke style, this style puffs out just enough that the extra inch of material keeps it from being too short. The material is excellent, not too heavy which is great for spring and summer but still thick enough to not be see through. The price is very reasonable and the color selection is to die for. I already ordered the green!" —Jackie

Promising review: "It is just perfect for Renfest! It is super comfy, but not too hot. You can wear a shirt under or not, depending on what you feel comfortable with. It is basically hoodie material so keep that in mind when you check the weather." —Katie Wilson
