Taylor Swift's Old Myspace Blogs Are Just As Awk As You'd Think

It was... A TIME.

Good news! Taylor Swift used to blog on Myspace and a website compiled all of them into one convenient location. Because it's my job, I went through all of them and picked out the best quotes. Enjoy/feel secondhand embarrassment because 17-year-olds shouldn't be allowed on the internet... Noah fence.

On talking to people:

"I could talk to a door." —Taylor Swift, May 25, 2006

On black squirrels:

"I saw a black squirrel outside my bus, climbing up a tree. It was a BLACK squirrel. I mean, who knew that squirrels were ever anything but gray? I walked around telling everybody about it, and nobody believed me. It was great." —Taylor Swift, Oct. 19, 2007

On girls who have her song on their Myspaces:

"I love all the girls who have my song on their myspaces." —Taylor Swift, Aug. 4, 2006

On the temperature in different places being different:

"I’m in Florida right now, and it’s HOT outside. It’s kinda funny since we were just in Pennsylvania and it was freezing." —Taylor Swift, Sep. 22, 2007

Literally just a paragraph about her cat snoring:

"I’m sitting on my bed, and my cat is sitting next to me SNORING so loudly. And I’m trying not to laugh, because I’ll wake her up. It’s so awesome though. You just don’t expect little cats to snore like that. And periodically, she’ll have weird dreams where she’s running through a field or something (I have no idea what cats actually dream about, this is just a theory)… So then she’s snoring AND twitching and moving her legs.. It’s hilarious." —Taylor Swift, Jan. 5, 2009

On what she's always wanted:

"My record label surprised me with this HUGE pink truck!! They’re so sweet to me, and I’ve always wanted a truck." —Taylor Swift, Dec. 17, 2007

On Walmart employees:

"After LA, I flew to Dallas and played a show for the Wal Mart employees. That was fun, they’ve been really cool to us." —Taylor Swift, Sept. 12, 2008

On things she likes a lot:

"And the drummer, Shannon, kept doing Napoleon Dynamite voices in between passes. Which was very good for me. I liked that a LOT." —Taylor Swift, Nov. 4, 2005

On being cheated on:

"It’s called 'You Should’ve Said No' and it’s about being cheated on.. dun dun dunnn… Yeah." —Taylor Swift, Aug. 12, 2006

On Blender Magazine:

"I’m going to be on the cover of the issue of Blender magazine that’s coming out March 11! Blender’s a really edgy music magazine that almost NEVER has country artists on the cover." —Taylor Swift, March 8, 2008

On the most devastating biological disaster ever:

"The Plague was history’s most devastating biological disaster ever, and I’m about to watch it play out RIGHT before my eyes… Well.. the re-enactments, at least. And I’m stoked about it." —Taylor Swift, Sept. 6, 2009

On hackers:

"It’s that time of year again! Someone decided to hack into my myspace. Cool, right? I just love it when they hack in and delete my pictures and change my top friends and wreak other various forms of havoc." —Taylor Swift, Nov. 8, 2008

On Photo Booth:

"Notice all the weird pictures I’ve been putting up? Well, my laptop has a camera in it, and so I’ve been taking all these different pictures with different color treatments and stuff like that.. I love it." —Taylor Swift, July 11, 2007

On her cat going into angry rages:

"My cat goes into an angry rage when I’m gone. She’s like the most miserable, depressed, whining cat ever when I’m not here. She just wanders around the house screaming and howling. I know this because when I’m on the road, my dad calls me and leaves me voicemails of the cat. And so when I’m home she’s extra clingy. She’s laying on my shoulder right now, snoring and purring. Yes, both. It’s an interesting combination of sounds." —Taylor Swift, Sept. 17, 2008

On her literally insane Grey's Anatomy addiction:

"Once upon a time there was a girl. She was born in 1989 and was bald until she was like two. Then she got a blonde afro. As a kid, she liked doing school projects and didn’t have that many friends. She hung out with her mom a lot. And her cat. Then she started writing songs about all those awesome rejected feelings and blah blah blah..one thing led to another, and she went on tour. Then a show came out called Grey’s Anatomy. It came out the same time her world was starting to change. Every time she would feel alone or stressed out, she would watch Grey’s Anatomy. Soon she just started to refer to it as “her show” and got all the seasons on DVD as soon as they came out and played them on repeat in the bus and downloaded every song that was EVER on Grey’s Anatomy episodes..." —Taylor Swift, Sept. 25, 2008

On meeting Rihanna:

"The HIGHLIGHT of my TRL experience was getting to talk to Rihanna. I love Rihanna. She’s amazing and gorgeous and SO cool to talk to. A lot of the time, superstars have huge entourages around them and its really intimidating and weird. But Rihanna had one, maybe two people with her. It was so cool to see that. We talked backstage during commercial breaks and she was real and outgoing and funny. Yay. :-)" —Taylor Swift, June 21, 2008

On the best movie ever made:

"For the past two years we’ve watched Love Actually every single Christmas. Because it’s the best Christmas movie (or overall movie) ever made, ever. It’s one of those movies with an amazing ending that makes you want a boyfriend on Christmas. Because of that, I can only watch it once a year. Ha." —Taylor Swift, Dec. 23, 2007

On people, in general:

"I love people. Seriously." —Taylor Swift, Nov. 30, 2006
