Sarah Paulson Says She Used To Give Pedro Pascal Her Per Diem So He Could Eat

I love these two because they are real, genuine friends, not "I met him at an award show and we text sometimes" type thing.

If you *somehow* didn't know by now, Pedro Pascal and Sarah Paulson have been literal best friends for decades.

They go way back to the early '90s, and Sarah says they've been close since they were 19!

And they're still extremely close to this day.

    They FaceTime.

They send each other drunken, blurry selfies.

    They get into physical fights.

    Just bestie stuff!

That said, Sarah hit it big in Hollywood first, and Pedro was booking smaller jobs for a while.

I personally love this clip of him on MTV's Undressed.

Pedro Pascal played a concerned gay friend stock character in MTV's "Undressed" (1999). And it's masterful.

In an interview with Esquire, Sarah said she actually supported him financially in the early days.

"There were times when I would give him my per diem from a job I was working on so that he could have money to feed himself," she said.

For those who don't know, a per diem is basically extra money you get for food and lodging.

    Very generou$!

Sarah also said something else in the interview that stuck with me.

Sarah was asked why people connect with Pedro, and she said, “You just want him to succeed. And that to me, I feel like, is the sign of a major movie star."

"I’m ready for him to take the reins from the guys from romantic comedies past, like Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson and all these guys. He can be all that. Let’s remake Die Hard with Pedro. Remake all the Lethal Weapon movies with Pedro.”

Anyway, love them. I need a movie or an album or something.
