Disney Adults are an extremely specific breed of people.
For people who don't know, Urban Dictionary defines a "Disney Adult" as: "A millennial adult, with or without kids, that can't stop talking about Disney, including the movies and the parks. Even if they do have kids, they're still way more obsessed with it that their kids ever would be."
Everyone has a "Disney Adult" in their life, and today I learned that both John Stamos and Ryan Gosling identify as one.
Keke Palmer asked John Stamos about it on her podcast.
"Have you heard the concept of 'Disney Adults,' do you know the vibes that some people think it's strange?" Keke asked.
"Well, I think they're strange," John responded.
"It's great when you bring your kids, but adulting is so cool there because there's so much to do [there]," he elaborated.
Then John went on to tell the story about how Ryan Gosling made him comfortable with this fact.
"About six or seven years ago, I was like, man, I gotta shed this Disney thing, because who's gonna take me seriously with the Mickey Mouse stuff? I've gotta distance myself from it," he said.
"Then I had dinner with Ryan Gosling one night, and he's like, 'You're a Disney fan, aren't you?' I say yeah. He goes, 'I'm obsessed. I'm a Disney adult. I go there by myself. I wear headphones. I go on rides. I have a mixtape," the Barbie actor said.
Ultimately, this was enough for John to embrace his "Disney Adulthood": "That kind of turned the corner for me," John said.
So, there you have it, Ryan Gosling helped John Stamos come out as a Disney Adult.
Personally, the bigger story here is that Ryan Gosling goes to Disneyland by himself with headphones and his own "mixtape."
