Promising review: "I have severe redness in my face that I’m sure is rosacea since pretty much every face wash makes my face even worse. I finally found this recommended on a website to calm my skin. It’s so soft and actually helps with the redness. I also haven’t broke out at all over the last three months, which is pretty much a miracle because my skin always flares up. I highly recommend trying this if you have sensitive skin." —Ronald P.

Promising review: "I was lucky enough to have clear skin in high school, so I never understood how awful acne really is. Little did I know, hormones and acne go hand in hand. When I was about 21–22, I switched to a birth control implant, and that thing wreaked havoc on my entire life. I suddenly had horrible cystic acne. Not only did it make me self conscious and uncomfortable, but it was actually so painful, laying on my pillow hurt my face! To top it all off, my skin was also dry, and irritated. I tried every skin care line on the market for about two to three years, with no, or very little, results. Finally, I found La Roche-Posay's skincare products. Within four days, the inflammation decreased, the redness was fading, and my skin felt less dry. By two weeks, my skin was practically clear! I have been using this product for about four to five years now, and I haven't had a single outbreak, EXCEPT for the time I wanted to try a different product to save money. Huge mistake and one I will not make again. I get compliments on my skin regularly, and I feel confident not wearing makeup." —LadyHawke

Promising review: "This is the best lotion I’ve ever used. It’s expensive, but if I’m ever a little flush with cash this is always the first skincare item I’ll stock up on. When I was a waitress, coming to work on early brunch shift fresh-faced was such a challenge (especially if I was up late drinking and eating fried foods the night before!). This really wakes my skin up, tightens the puffiness, and makes me feel so fresh and clean! It smells great and I love the coolness. It might be a little too heavy to use too much in your acne-prone areas, although when spread thin I’ve found the cooling effect really tones down redness. I’ve given a blob or two to friends from time to time, and they immediately go out and buy their own. A word to the wise: be careful applying this too close to the eyes, as the mintiness is quite potent and might make your eyes water." —Emily Rose Clevenger

Promising review: "Wonderful product; I use it after I wash my face and before I apply moisturizer. I feel like it makes a big difference with evening out redness on my face. It smells and looks great as always and works just as well as it has when I've bought it in retail stores!" —Rochelle

Promising review: "I cannot believe my skin looks this good! I have very sensitive skin that flares up at the slightest hint of stress. Believe me when I say you will not recognize yourself in the morning! It was like my skin transformed overnight. It was smooth, poreless, scarring had almost disappeared and any sign of redness was gone. This was after one night! My coworkers mentioned I looked like I was glowing! I wash my face and apply two separate layers with clean hands to my face and neck. The smell is tolerable and the cream itself is extremely rich so I only wear it at night. You may feel like a greaseball but the results are worth it. I have not had a breakout since using this and, if anything, it gets rid of blemishes faster." —Robert F. Young

Promising review: "I've been dealing with acne and oily skin for over 10+ years, so you can imagine the acne scars/hyperpigmentation my skin has. I've used TONS of facial scrubs/masks that claim that it brightens your skin. The ACURE facial scrub is the BEST and most worth-your-money facial scrub I've ever used. My acne scars lightened almost immediately after use. I usually use it at night and leave it on for about five to 10 minutes and wash it off. My skin is seriously so smooth (normally I have to exfoliate almost every night or else my foundation does not go on smoothly) after just one use. The next morning, my skin looks so good! Acne scars are less red and my face is so smooth. I always use less foundation the next morning too. I love that its super affordable too. Will def continue to use this product." —Tiffany

Store it in the freezer until you're ready to use it. When that time comes, swipe it over your face for cooling facial. Reviewers say it also helps with migraines and sinus headaches,
Promising review: "I use this whenever I feel tired, and always after I’ve cleansed my face. I use rubbing alcohol to clean it after use and then put it back in the freezer in it’s own ziplock bag. I notice it’s helped with the redness in my face and it also helped when I’ve had migraines. It starts behind my eye so I roll it over whichever side of my head is in pain and it seems to help." —maihiro

Promising review: "These first pictures were taken in December, and the results are after using it for five months. I’ve had terrible acne since I was 13 years old, which continued into my early thirties. I thought I’d always have it. Then I read about this toner. I’ve tried other toners but they dried my skin out and made my acne worse. Not this. This cleans my skin and leaves it feeling fresh, soft and moisturized. It has helped smooth out my red complexion and scars. And it smells so good! I can truly say that for the first time in my adult life, my skin is acne-free and glowing. Now I can walk around confidently without makeup. Seriously it’s this toner, benzoyl peroxide, a spot treatment (for the rare pimple I do get) and moisturizer. All it takes. I never thought I’d have clear skin. I feel like a new person! If you get anything for your skin, get this. You’ll thank yourself." —Ashley

Promising review: "I had horrible acne as a teen. My skin is oily, sensitive and scarred, and still red. I use this whenever I leave the house but don’t want to put on makeup. THIS STUFF IS AWESOME! I just spread it over, put a little concealer under my eyes, mascara on, and go! It’s my no-makeup makeup! :)" —Jordanne
Promising review: "I’m absolutely thrilled that I gave this a chance. I struggle with rosacea and my flare-ups can be intense and embarrassing. This has smoothed out my cheeks and the redness is less and the flakiness is almost gone with just three days of use. My skin is also sensitive and combination so it’s rare that something works that doesn’t make me me break out elsewhere. This will be a staple in my health and beauty routine!!!!!" —aerical

My colleague Elizabeth Lilly swears by this cream. Here's what she has to say:
"I use this every single day and to demonstrate just how well it works, I put it on half of my face in the pic above. Seriously, the color-cancelling prowess is impressive. Also it took me nearly a year to go through the full-size jar. So if the price has you feeling iffy, you can try out a travel version. I'm forever indebted to this stuff."

Promising review: "My rosacea went crazy after the holidays and I was suffering with VERY bright red, VERY reactive skin. I decided to change my entire regime focusing strictly on my rosacea. This is one of the items I purchased and am glad I did. My skin is no longer reactive, red, bumpy, or breaking out. It has calmed my skin, where now I look in the mirror and can actually smile. I was becoming very embarrassed and self conscious letting anyone see me. I did have to go through a tough couple of weeks while my skin got used to the product, but the difference is amazing. My jar has never separated like some say. It is slightly heavy, but it does absorb nicely, and I have absolutely no issues wearing it under makeup, or alone with only a swipe of SPF. The smell can be slightly off putting, but has not affected my skin at all." —Dermstore Reviewer

Promising review: "Saw this on a BuzzFeed article and figured I could risk $15 on a product. And holy cannoli I am so glad I did. Within two days (TWO DAYS!!!) of using this on my face I saw a difference. I have extremely sensitive, easily irritated skin. As a result, I generally have redness on my cheeks and nose all of the time. I also have a tendency to get cystic acne bumps that take weeks to dissipate. NOT ANYMORE!! Those bad boys vanish within a couple days and are nowhere near as painful and visible. The redness is gone, my pores are smaller, there are no little bumps of uneven sin, my skin tone is even, and my face and neck are astonishingly soft. Like, watch out baby butts, there's a new standard for softness around here. And the natural glow it provides? Remarkable!" —Emily

Promising review: "First of all, this cream has an amazing texture. It’s like the smoothest, softest 'whipped cream;' it just feels heavenly when you apply it. My face has been really dry and red, and I’ve been applying this cream every day. Within a week, skin feels softer and renewed. Not perfect, but definitely a noticeable, softer difference! I’m also using this on my baby who has a few eczema rashes on his torso. The rash hasn’t disappeared yet; I’ve been applying it daily for about a week— but it’s gotten smaller and less red, so I think this is helping!" —Kona K

Promising review: "This stuff is incredible!!! I have now been using it for three years and every time I get close to running out, I go and buy another one right away. I have adult moderate cystic acne and this stuff reallly calms them down and helps with the redness. Anytime I feel like I am getting a pimple or can see the under the skin bump, I will lather this healing powder all over it, all day long. This is definitely my go-to product!!! Promising review: "Let’s talk. I’m 43 and have had rosacea for about five years, but it’s gotten pretty bad over the last two to three years. I don’t get a lot of pimples because of it, but I do get red. I mean, really red. I didn’t realize how bad my rosacea had become until, one day when I didn’t wear makeup, several people were surprised at my terrible sunburn. After lots of research, I found Prosacea. It does dry my skin a bit, but I counteract that with a moderately priced moisturizer and I’m good. The BIGGEST thing is that THIS STUFF WORKS. After three weeks, most of my face is NOT red, and I’m down to two good splotches of redness on the apples of my cheeks. I use it once a day, and I gotta tell you, I’m thrilled so far. I am VERY picky and barely ever write reviews, but I want my rosacea fam to know this stuff WORKS!" —Lisa King Peters

Promising review: "I had cystic acne that left behind hyperpigmentation and scarring of all different hues — purple, brown, red — all over my face, mostly on my cheeks and temples. I have been using Bio Oil twice a day, every day, throughout this whole ordeal (two years now) and now I have NO hyperpigmentation or scarring whatsoever on my face. Also, due to all the different products I've used while I had acne, I now have extremely dry skin. Bio Oil is great for that too! I still apply it morning and night, and I have no dry or painful patches on my face. I've recommended this product to several friends who have acne scarring and hyperpigmentation and they have experienced the same results!" —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "This product really works. I wish I took a before and after picture... I had a rough red rosacea patch on my cheek. It was bumpy and raw looking. Just gross. I used face lotion every day thinking if I kept it hydrated it would work. But it never did. I used this cream and within a week I noticed a difference. I still have redness but it’s barely noticeable and my skin is sooo smooth. I highly recommend this product to anyone struggling with rosacea. I will also say that I only put it in affected areas...I do not use on my entire face. I’m so so happy with the results and feel like I have normal skin again. It has given me such a boost of confidence!" —Shauna O

After using this cream for two days, my cuticles are getting smooth, they are no longer sore, and the redness and raggedness have abated. Have I mentioned it smells like lemon cake? And not that artificial cake, it smells like real cake. I love it. And the price is great! I highly suggest this to anyone as an intensive repair cream or as daily maintenance." —Amazon Customer

I’ve had this since November and still have plenty to go! So worth it." —Alzata
