25 Low-Effort Ways To Keep Your Bathroom Clean

Less time spent cleaning and more time spent doing literally anything else.

    1. Invest in organizers — like this two-tier expandable shelf — that'll bring order to the chaos your bathroom cabinet. The spacing of the shelves is adjustable so it can sit around the sink pipes. And you can move all the junk cluttering your countertops that you don't use all that often under the sink thanks to all your newfound storage space.

    2. Don't forget about your drawers either: A drawer organizer will carve out space for all the little things — contacts case, deodorant, mini tubes of hairspray, medicine, cotton pads, and more.

    3. Corral your oral hygiene products in a no-frills ventilated toothbrush caddy instead of leaving them strewn all over the bathroom counters (usually in a wet puddle 🤢). The bottom comes off and the divider is removable so you can easily clean it.

    4. Get rid of the army of bottles cluttering your shower floor with an angled suction cup shower caddy. Not only will your shower look neater, but you also won't have to worry about your precariously placed body wash slipping off the itty bitty shower ledge and smashing your poor toes.

    5. House your half-used shampoo and conditioner in a shower curtain with pockets so your shower looks and feels less cluttered. And thanks to its *nine* mesh storage pockets, this liner probably has plenty of room for the jumble of makeup, hair products, and cords littering your bathroom counters.

    6. Tidy up your medicine cabinet with a high-rise organizer if you're tired of your skincare tumbling down every time you open the shelf. It has three side compartments and a bridge tray, so you can maximize storage if the lack of counter space in your teeny tiny bathroom makes your space look messy.

    7. Attach some adhesive floating shelves in your shower and on your bathroom walls to add some much-needed organizational opportunities to your bathroom.

    8. Store and dry your little one's bath toys in a mesh net that attaches to the wall with suction cups. Because bathtime is fun, but finding a place to store all the wet bath toys isn't. This'll give them a place to dry without taking over your bathroom.

    9. Hold your heat-styling tools in an over-the-cabinet storage system so they're not a jumbled mess of cords. It's too bad no one will see how nicely and neatly you stored them once you shut the cabinet door.

    10. Clean the inside of your tub — like the inside, inside — with a jetted tub cleaner. It'll quickly flush out the soap scum and body oils that are gunking up your tub's jets, and you won't even have to pick up a sponge.

    11. Grab a bleach-free, no-scrub weekly shower spray so soap scum and shower grime buildup go bye bye without you ever having to wipe. Rinse it clean the next day, and you'll be amazed to see those hard water stains on your shower door are *poof* gone.

    12. Mark your toilet bowls with a Scrubbing Bubbles toilet cleaning stamp that'll releasing a cleaning gel with each flush.

    13. And toss in a fizzing toilet tablets before a deep clean to loosen caked-on stains. You can also use them between scrubs to sanitize your bowl and keep it smelling fresh.

    14. Spray a mold and mildew remover so you can set it, forget it, and come back in a few hours to see grout that looks like new. I'm talking basically every speck of black mold is gone! *Cues up "Do You Believe in Magic"*

    15. Stop tussling with bathtub stains and opt for a drill brush kit with three brush heads that attach to your power drill. The result = no more furiously scrubbing your tub.

    16. Snag shed hairs with a TubShroom because they clog your drain and collect in the pipes. Have your relaxing showers turned into you just standing in a puddle of water five minutes after you turn on the water? Yeah, you need this.

    17. Wipe down shower walls and doors with a squeegee to prevent puddles from forming and leaving behind cloudy water stains and creating a perfect damp breeding ground for mold and mildew.

    18. And prevent hard water stains entirely with a shower door water repellent that lasts for weeks.

    19. Soak your clogged and mildewy shower head in a plastic bag filled with vinegar for a couple of hours, and it should dissolve every bit of the buildup.

    20. Wear sweeper slippers to clean the floors as you walk around your bathroom. They pick up dirt, dust, pet hair, your hair, and more with each step.

    21. Divide towels and delicates in rolling laundry sorter if the hamper in your bathroom is overflowing and the thought of spending your Saturday morning sorting laundry is already giving you a headache.

    22. Opt for a hidden toilet brush that'll sit neatly behind your toilet's water tank, camouflaging itself until you need it. No space for a toilet brush holder in your itty bitty bathroom? No problem!

    23. Arrange each and every lipstick, mascara tube, and bottle of foundation you own in an acrylic organizer so it's in its place rather than spread all over your bathroom counter.

    24. Keep extra toilet paper in an over-the-tank TP holder so you never have to text your roommate in a panic and ask them to leave a spare roll outside the door. It's also better than toilet paper stands, which always seem to be an inch too far away whenever you reach for the roll.

    25. House cotton swabs, toothpicks, dental flossers, cotton rounds and more in a chic bathroom organizer. Guess it's time to finally throw out the bulky boxes they came in!
