At last night's Social Media Week panel, a heated (but friendly) debate over editorial independence vs. advertising interests erupted between The Dish blogger Andrew Sullivan and BuzzFeed's Editor-in-Chief Ben Smith (and many Buzzfeed staff members in the audience).
