The Man Who Flashed His Penis At The Arias Is Appearing In Liberal Ads Now

That's right, it's former Australian Idol contestant Axle Whitehead who is (probably) best known for flashing his penis on stage during the Arias back in 2006. According to reports, Whitehead also simulated masturbation while on stage with a pyramid shaped Aria trophy.

Well guess what, Axle has put it away and a decade later, is campaigning for the Liberal party!

Whitehead stars in this Facebook video for the Liberal candidate for the Victorian seat of Murray, Duncan McGauchie. A spokesperson for the Liberal campaign told BuzzFeed News that Whitehead and McGauchie are old school mates - the former Idol star was even a groomsman at the candidate's wedding.

According to his IMDB page, Whitehead has launched his acting career in the US, starring in the Marvel TV show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Whitehead's not the first Idol alumnus to get involved this election campaign - former host James Mathison is running against Tony Abbott in the seat of Warringah.

Anyway, good on Axle Whitehead for helping his good mate. Let's hope he doesn't get any silly ideas with the traditional sausage sizzle come election day.
