1. Aladdin

So far, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland has announced that it will feature Jafar and the Genie, so Aladdin seems like the most likely next addition. How he'd fit into the Alice in Wonderland mythology remains to be seen.
2. Jasmine

As seen in: Aladdin
Dream casting: Emmanuelle Chriqui
Can't have an Aladdin without his Jasmine. And if the Genie's going to be romancing Alice — yes, that is actually happening — it wouldn't be fair to leave Aladdin out in the cold.
3. Tiana

As seen in: The Princess and the Frog
Dream casting: Yaya DaCosta
There are still a few Disney Princesses missing from Once Upon a Time's cast. Tiana is a recent addition to Disney's lineup, but an important one — she's the most grounded and relatable.
4. Prince Naveen

As seen in: The Princess and the Frog
Dream casting: Boris Kodjoe
Tiana's prince is a total pain in the ass, but dashing enough that it doesn't really matter. One request: Let's keep him mostly human. I'm wary of the CGI required to turn him into a talking frog.
7. Flynn Rider

As seen in: Tangled
Dream casting: Michael Angarano
Flynn is an interesting character because he's a hero who's also kind of bumbling and not nearly as suave as he thinks he is. He could add a little comic relief to a show that is sometimes too serious.
8. Mother Gothel

As seen in: Tangled
Dream casting: Lisa Rinna
Evil moms are big on Once Upon a Time — particularly evil moms with moral ambiguity and conflicted motivations. Mother Gothel obviously cares about Rapunzel, which makes things more interesting.
9. Cruella de Vil

As seen in: 101 Dalmatians
Dream casting: Jane Lynch
Another Disney villain who could do some serious damage on Once Upon a Time. Just keep her away from Archie's dog, or things could get real dark, real fast.
10. Mowgli

As seen in: The Jungle Book
Dream casting: Dev Patel
It would make sense to age up Mowgli — we don't need another kid on Once Upon a Time. But the good guys could certainly use the skills of someone who knows how to communicate with animals.
11. Arthur

As seen in: The Sword in the Stone
Dream casting: Dane DeHaan
Like Mowgli, Arthur should be a little bit older. Of course, adding him opens up the floodgates for other characters from Arthurian mythology — which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
12. Merlin

As seen in: The Sword in the Stone
Dream casting: Donald Sutherland
Without Merlin, Arthur isn't much of a hero. And it's always fun to see how different characters employ magic on Once Upon a Time — would Merlin use his powers for good only?
13. Prince Eric

As seen in: The Little Mermaid
Dream casting: Matt Bomer
Ariel will show up soon on Once Upon a Time, and who better to greet her than her prince? Especially because Prince Eric is clearly one of the hottest Disney princes. More eye candy, please.
14. Ursula

As seen in: The Little Mermaid
Dream casting: Jennifer Coolidge
And if we're adding Ariel and Eric into the mix, why not throw in Ursula too? She's a favorite Disney villain because she's so camp. Hell, she was modeled after the iconic drag queen Divine. The show could have some fun with her.
15. Hercules

As seen in: Hercules
Dream casting: Chris Zylka
Yes, another excuse to get a studly guy shirtless on this show. Like Arthur, Hercules opens up the possibilities of a much more expansive mythology, but there's no need to get ahead of ourselves.
16. Megara

As seen in: Hercules
Dream casting: Elizabeth Olsen
And at Hercules' side, the sassy Megara (or just Meg). More strong female characters are always a good thing. (Just don't look up how Meg's story ends in the original myths.)
17. Hades

As seen in: Hercules
Dream casting: Christoph Waltz
And hey, might as well add one more Hercules character into the mix. Maybe some other Greek gods too. On the other hand, Once Upon a Time is complex enough as is. Let's wait till Season 4.
