This Actor Reimagined If Raven Baxter From “That’s So Raven” Was In Popular Movies And Shows, And It’s Too Perfect
The That's So Raven and Harry Potter crossover you needed to see.
If you grew up watching the Disney Channel, you definitely remember Raven-Symoné's legendary character Raven Baxter from That’s So Raven.

Along with her brilliant fashion sense and ability to see into the future, Raven’s outgoing personality, funny catchphrases, and memorable facial expressions will never be forgotten.
Who else could get themselves in and out of sticky situations in the most hilarious way possible?
LA-based actor, stand-up comedian, and writer Jaylin Eaves just so happens to have a pretty spot-on Raven Baxter impersonation, and lately, she's been showcasing it on TikTok.

In a hilarious series of videos known as "If Raven Baxter was in...," Jaylin reimagines Raven as a character in popular movies and shows like Twilight and The Office.

BuzzFeed spoke to Jaylin, who originally filmed her first video "If Raven Baxter was in Get Out" — Jordan Peele's critically acclaimed horror thriller — as a character submission for an audition. "I absolutely love Raven and knew I wanted to impersonate her. I thought the contrast from Get Out would be funny," she said.

Another inspiration for the Get Out video came when Jaylin unexpectedly found the Raven-esque pink fur coat that's featured in the TikTok. “I bought it at a thrift shop on Melrose. I wasn’t sure if I was going to go through with my impression, but as soon as I saw the jacket, I knew immediately that I had to get it.”

“Whenever I put it on, I can’t stop saying, ‘Ya nasty.’”
After the video was rejected to submit, Jaylin decided to upload it on her TikTok account — and then it blew up with over 700,000 views. "The reaction has been amazing and unexpected," she said. "It makes me really happy that people love it so much."

Since uploading the increasingly popular Get Out video, Jaylin has filmed other Raven-inspired TikToks, including "If Raven was in The Office."

Unfortunately, Stanley isn't a fan of Raven working at Dunder Mifflin.

Here’s Raven in Twilight, where she replaces Bella as Edward’s love interest and impresses him with her signature dance moves.

Who knew Edward and Raven could be a match?

And here’s a Harry Potter–themed TikTok where Raven asks Hermione for help as a fellow Hogwarts student.

Because Raven would break out singing a Boyz 'N Motion classic instead of paying attention in class.
For Jaylin, creating these That's So Raven crossovers has been a fun and nostalgic experience as an actor and longtime fan of 2000s Disney Channel shows. “Raven was the reason I wanted to become an actress myself, and I [still] love watching the show because it’s a constant reminder of that.”

Fans have also been loving all the nostalgic vibes from Jaylin’s videos. “People keep asking for more, which I think is a testament to how much of an influence Raven’s character continues to have today,” Jaylin said.

While her videos have been entertaining, Jaylin hopes to inspire her audience as well. "I hope people realize they don't have to be shy when it comes to whatever they love. People would sometimes make fun of me or think it’s weird how much I love the older Disney Channel shows," Jaylin said. "I just want people to ignore negative opinions and continue to embrace what makes them happy."
