Timothée Chalamet's "Wonka" Trailer Just Came Out, And It Looks Like I Will Be Buying A Ticket, I Fear

Timothée Chalamet can now add "chocolate maker" to his extensive resume.

    You know Timothée Chalamet.

And one could say he's stayed booked and busy, because while he's about to start the promotion cycle for the upcoming Dune: Part Two, the new trailer for his other upcoming movie, Wonka, just came out this morning.

In Wonka, Timothée stars as the titular Willy Wonka — aka the world’s greatest inventor, magician, and chocolate maker first made famous by Roald Dahl's children's book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp have also notably played the role in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971) and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), respectively. However, Timmy's version of the character will focus on the years before Wonka became the man we all know today.

Okay, now let's get into the trailer. We open with Timmy's Wonka telling his story about "traveling the world and perfecting [his] craft."

And of course, a lot of the townsfolk are a little hesitant about his chocolate making skills.

He's VERY in-character. Just look at this lil' spin.

So, Wonka dreams of opening his own chocolate shop, but not if the "chocolate cartel" has anything to say about it.

But Wonka isn't ready to give up that easily, so he sets out to impress everyone with the pure magic of his candy.

    Things sure do get wacky.

Hugh Grant also stars as THE Oompa-Loompa that started it all. (So sorry for the jump scare!!!)

We also get to see some appearances from big names like Olivia Colman, Keegan-Michael Key, Sally Hawkins, and Rowan Atkinson, who make up this star-studded cast.

And there will be a song...or a few.

One more thing I just have to mention is that Wonka is written and directed by Paul King, who wrote and directed Paddington, so we already know this movie is gonna be a romp and a half.

Oh, and the movie will be coming out in theaters Dec. 15.

So, there you have it! Watch the trailer for yourself, and tell us what you think about it in the comments below!
