Kehlani Has An Inspirational Message For People Dealing With Mental Illness

"And from me to you, you are worth it, you are perfect, you need to be here, you are meant to be here."

Back in March, Kehlani was hospitalized after a suicide attempt. The artist has since recovered, released new music, and now she's even performing again.

Recently, a fan recorded her speaking about depression, suicide, and mental illness in between songs during a performance.

"I know everyone has access to the Suicide Prevention [Lifeline] number. If not, I'm sure I'm going to be working with them a lot and advocating for them," Kehlani said.

"It's something that so many young people are dealing with, and so many young people slip under the rug to things like depression and severe anxiety and many disorders that people know nothing about."

"If you have a friend and they're scaring you a little, just love them. Just hug them, and love them up, and tell 'em that it's good, okay?" Kehlani continued.

"And from me to you, you are worth it, you are perfect, you need to be here, you are meant to be here."
