    We recently asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us which TV relationships had amazing potential but didn't last long enough. Here are some of the short-lived pairings fans are still weeping over:

Their chemistry was through the roof, and when a version of Lexa returned for the series finale, it confirmed that they were soulmates. I wish we got to see more of them together and happy.”

    "They were so sweet together. Despite their relationship just being shown in a flashback for one episode, I really wish we could have seen more of them together."

    7. Rory and Jess from Gilmore Girls:

    Forget the Alison versus Paige debate — Maya was Emily's best relationship by far! They had such natural chemistry and just really seemed to "get" each other. There was absolutely no reason for the writers to kill Maya off, and I'll forever be bitter that she and Emily didn't end up together.

The writers had already filmed the ending where Ted ended up with Robin, so they had to unnecessarily kill the mother and make Barney and Robin divorce, even though they had way more chemistry than Ted and Robin."

    I know it was a high school relationship and not necessarily meant to last, but I still feel like we were robbed of more time with these two. Max having the biggest crush on Sophie was so cute, and the actors had amazing chemistry together. I really hope they'll get back together in Season 2 — they had way too much potential!

    19. Scott and Kira from Teen Wolf:

    "Granted, they were together for a couple of seasons, but the writers unnecessarily wrote Kira off and ended up pairing Scott with Malia, which is a whole other issue in and of itself. Scott and Kira were amazing together, and I loved the Asian representation."

    I'm a Betty and Archie shipper first and foremost, but I was surprised by how much I loved Archie and Josie together! Josie really brought out the best in him, they had great chemistry, and I felt like they really understood each other. It was also nice to see Archie with someone other than Veronica for a change — I wish they had lasted longer.

    28. Esme and Frankie from Degrassi: Next Class:

    I know they didn't officially date and their friendship wasn't exactly healthy, but Sara Waisglass and Chelsea Clark had an incredible amount of chemistry, and their characters just worked so well together. Frankie truly cared about Esme's mental health, and Esme brought out a more interesting side of Frankie's character. I really think their relationship would have been explored further if the show had continued.

    29. And finally, Carla and Samuel from Elite:
