1. ColourPop's Lippie Stix provides full matte coverage and gives your lips extra hydration so they don't feel dried out (like some matte lipsticks tend to do). That's what we call a WIN.

ColourPop

"ColourPop's Lippie Stix. They are THE BEST! I have six of them, all matte and all super comfortable to wear. If you are looking for a matte lipstick that doesn't dry your lips and stays for hours, this is the product for you! And it's only $5.50."—palmajosefina

Get it from ColourPop for $5.50 (other colors available here) or Amazon for $9.86+ (available in 23 colors).

2. e.l.f. Cosmetics' waterproof mascara adds length and volume to your lashes and then promises to *stay* that way, even if you laugh so hard you end up crying...

"e.l.f's waterproof mascara cost me $3 at Target and it held up perfectly all night despite pouring rain and me laughing so hard I started sobbing. There were a LOT of tears, but no black smudges anywhere!!! Honestly amazed. Do yourself a favor and get some!!!" —drosebGet it from Ulta or e.l.f. Cosmetics for $3.

"This is my favorite brow pencil I have ever used. I was actually going to fork up the cash to get the Anastasia Brow Wiz, but I heard that this was comparable, so I decided to give it a try and I love it! Even though my eyebrows are dark blonde, I got it in the brunette shade and I think it matches pretty close. It glides on smoothly and lasts all day. 9. Hard Candy's primer line has a variety of products suited for different skin issues (dry, oily, dark spots, and so on) to make damn sure your makeup goes nowhere.

"Hard Candy 12-Hour Power primer. I've always been a pretty heavy sweater on my face and head (yes, gross, I know), but since starting on Zoloft it's progressed to full-on hyperhidrosis (a medical term for excessive sweating) to the point that if I go outside for even 10 minutes in high humidity, my hair is soaking wet. I'm also a performer in theater and DCI World Class Color Guard, but this primer seriously stands up to both hot stage lights and multiple costume changes, as well as performances in a long-sleeved bodysuit with a velvet bodice in 90+ degree heat in full Southern humidity. (Full disclosure I still use Urban Decay setting spray and occasional a terrible-for-my-skin layer of aquanet, but I did those things before I started using this primer and I would still end up sweating off most of my makeup" —rvchongGet the 12-Hour Power Primer from Hard Candy for $8, and see their other primers here.
