30 Products Under $10 I'm Not Sure How You've Lived Your Whole Life Without

Finds ranging from the weird to the practical that you just gotta have — and your wallet won't even object.

    1. A helpful toothpaste squeezer so you can easily get every last drop out of your tube, saving you time, space, and money and providing some high-quality satisfaction.

reviewer holding tube of toothpaste standing upright in white squeezer grip with winder on the side
two tubes of toothpaste, one totally empty out of the squeezer and one three quarters empty compactly rolled in squeezer

Promising review: "This is hands-down the BEST toothpaste squeezer ever, because it also serves as a stand! I first encountered this toothpaste tube squeezer stand at my boyfriend's house. He's a stickler for neatness and tidiness, and so his bathroom is so very neat, and this tube squeezer definitely contributes to that. Instead of the crumpled tube lying on the counter, or being tossed in a drawer, it stands straight and proud next to his cup and toothbrush with its middle unsquoze (yeah, I made what word up), and always ready to instantly serve up your toothpaste instead of having to fiddle with getting at it when the tube is half-empty or more. I *had* to have it. I keep my toothpaste in the medicine cabinet, and so for me the nicest thing about this squeezer is that it allows me to easily store the toothpaste upright, so that it takes up *much* less space in the cabinet! So there you have it — whether you keep your toothpaste on the counter like my boyfriend, or in the medicine cabinet like me, you will love this toothpaste squeezing stand!" —Anne P. Mitchell

    2. witch hazel astringent with alcohol that'll become your new holy grail, since it can be used for all sorts of skincare woes, from fading scarring and blemishes to soothing razor bumps to getting rid of a major zit.

We've had this in our house since my mom was using it to fade a scar ages ago. A couple summers ago, it literally saved my ass. I don't know why I'm about to tell this story on the internet, but that summer some sort of insect made its way into my shorts and left a constellation of bite marks across my sorry tush. Alternating this stuff with calamine lotion throughout the day helped them shrink, fade, and slowly look less angry (though I was no less angry at the mystery insect). This also saved my legs from a nasty razor rash caused by a rushed, reckless, too-little-water shave. It instantly cooled and soothed the pain and took down the bumps and redness overnight. I've also found it can help dry up zits and bring them to a head faster!

Talk to your doctor before using this on a child or if you're pregnant; read more about witch hazel at Cleveland Clinic.

Promising review: "My acne cure. This stuff is a MUST for my skincare. I’ve dealt with acne for years. Used Proactiv, prescription meds, and anything sold on the shelf. When I heard about this I was extremely skeptical but figured I would give it a try. I used it twice a day for a week and my skin looks the best it has in years!!! Who knew that such a natural and easy-to-use product was the cure for my acne." —Melissa Rymsha

    3. A sheet of 100 adhesive, sound-dampening bumpers you'll want if you live in a house full of people who would have a shot at gold if slamming drawers and cabinets was an Olympic sport.

reviewer showing clear round bumper on inside of cabinet door
close up on half inch diameter bumper

Promising review: "Best thing I have ever bought for my kitchen. Say goodbye to the heinous noise of slamming cabinets. My mother is notorious for just letting go of the cabinets and letting them slam shut, so before she came to visit I installed these and I couldn't have been happier. They keep the noise to a minimum and likely help to improve the longevity of the cabinet doors by reducing the impact. They are easy to install (although time consuming for all the cabinets in the kitchen) and mine have not fallen off after five months of use. When installing, I pressed them onto the cabinet hard for a 30 count before letting go. I think this is required to make them long-lasting. My father installed these at his home after he visited and his fell off because he just placed them on the cabinets like a sticker. After installing a second with the same method I used, he has not had any fall off." —Dave Carlson

    4. A cute duck spout cover that doesn't ~duck~ around when it comes to safety. It'll prevent kids from burning themselves or bumping their heads on the faucet, and the beak even has an opening for perfect bubble bath dispensing! Ex-quack-tly what you need.

Promising review: "Best $9 ever spent for safety. Absolutely perfect. I have the Munchkin ducky bath mat for my daughter and now that she's 2 she flops around in the tub like a fish! I'm literally just waiting every time I bathe her for her to smash her head on the faucet. This thing fit absolutely perfect, I'm not really sure why people said it is easy to take off, I can barely get it off or put it on for that matter. Had to push and slide with all my might to get it fully onto the faucet, which is a good thing because now I know she can't just rip it off!! The water runs normal, it doesn't spray everywhere. I was worried about it blocking the opening and it's absolutely perfect to lift up the shower thing. I think this is definitely worth it; it's one of the cheapest on the market. I have normal faucet that comes in like 90% of tubs lol...so if you have a fancy one that might be wide, this doesn't work." —Kayla Boscia

Get it from Amazon for $9.95.

    5. A ~handy~ grooming glove over 3,000 pet owners swear by for giving their tiny shed monster a groom they'll actually enjoy — and saving themselves from a house full of hair.

The grooming glove with silicone nodules, full of hair held in front of a French bulldog
cat next to glove full of hair
    AnaMaria Glavan / BuzzFeed, www.amazon.com

Former BuzzFeed Shopping editor AnaMaria Glavan swears by this thing. She says, "The glove is super comfortable and using it couldn’t be more foolproof: Just put it on and run your hands through your pet’s fur. That’s it! The silicone grooves pick up so much fur with ease. Like, my dog looks close to hairless. HOW is he shedding so much!?!? After a few runs, I found that I would have to remove fur from the glove before continuing (you can pick up the fur with your other hand or run the glove under some water — either works), but it’s no biggie. The silicone actually makes it really easy to keep this clean. We got Rockie when he was 5, and he’d been riddled with skin issues and allergies, so I was pretty nervous to use anything that could potentially aggravate his conditions. However! Not only does this *not* bother his skin, but he…loves this. A lot. He starts snoring after exactly two run-throughs on his back. Also, his coat looks SO shiny after each use! TL;DR: This is one of those inexpensive add-ons that any pet owner should have on hand."

Promising review: "The cats are in heaven!!! We have four cats and bought this to try to cut down on shedding and hairballs. After having it for just a week, we never want to be without it. Even our antisocial cat comes up and begs for a pet when the glove comes out. The only thing that is not perfect on this glove is that I have smaller hands, and the glove is a little big, so my pinky doesn't stay where it should. But hey, if that's the only downside, we aren't going to complain. Long story short, if you love your pets, you will buy this glove as soon as possible." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $6.79+ (available in tthree colors).

    6. A 50-pack of genius travel laundry soap sheets that'll take up approximately zero space in your bag and save you approximately a zillion dollars on hotel laundry service (or at least a ton of hassle when washing last week's undies in the sink).

small orange container of thin soap sheets
    Amazon

Promising reviews: "I spilled coffee on a white shirt while traveling and it was several hours before I could wash it. I barely dampened the sheet and scrubbed the stain. The coffee stain was completely gone by morning. I can’t speak for washing large or bulky clothing, but for stain removal and underwear it works great." —maggiemoosmom

"Great for multiweek international travel for washing clothing in sinks or tubs. It's very rare to find self-service laundry centers in hotels or cruise ships. When hand washing items, I don't want a lot a soap or suds and I can completely control this by using one or multiple sheets. Super lightweight packaging!" —Wendy H.

Get it from Amazon for $7.19 (also available in hand soap sheets for easy hygiene on outdoor adventures — or just because hotel bar soap sucks).

    7. The amazing Farting Animals Coloring Book, because it really is the little things that make life meaningful, like coloring in a gassy hippopotamus. And who would want to miss out on such an oppor-toot-nity?

the book cover featuring a farting horse, cat, dachshund, and meerkat
A beautifully colored in farting moose

Promising review: "I could color farting animals all darn day. I wish there were 70–80 pages to color. Farting animals make me laugh and it brings nothing 'butt' joy to my life. I'm 'inflatuated' with this coloring book. I wish only in real life that farts came in color. Blue for the really putrid, Red for the medium smelly toots, and yellow for the no smell or semi-no smell poots. You could see all the colors arising at football stadiums, just a rainbow of colon blows." —Al Lucas

Get it from Amazon for $6.97.

    8. An impressive stainless-steel bar that over 2,000 reviewers swear by for getting all kinds of kitchen smells off their hands. You use it just like you would a bar of real soap, and odor molecules bind with the steel molecules to leave your hands stink-free!

    hand holding the bar
    Amazon

It never needs to be replaced, and some people even say it works under their arms for busting B.O.! Check out BuzzFeed's full write-up on the Amco Rub-A-Way bar.

Promising review: "Nobody likes smelly hands from working in the kitchen, and I have a volunteer job that involves working with animals that eat mouse and quail. There is nothing like the smell of mouse on your hand when you're trying to eat lunch. I originally got one of these because it's safe to use in a zoo facility since it's just steel, not something involving harsh chemicals that could harm the animals. It's been working very well. Once I had success, I bought more for people who often cook with garlic, onions, meat, etc. I highly recommend this product!" —CamilleElise

Get it from Amazon for $7.99+ (available in three styles).

    9. Miracle-Gro indoor plant food spikes, which are — get this — pretty miraculous. As in, they can help you actually keep a plant alive just by sticking a couple in the soil, and a pack is under four bucks.

    reviewer's plant droopy before
same plant much perkier 48 hours later

Each spike can be used for 30–60 days, depending on the season. Check out BuzzFeed's full Miracle-Gro plant food spikes write-up.

Promising review: "I always kill my plants, but I decided to try again. I just bought five houseplants, and three of them were marked down because they were looking pretty puny. Since I tend to kill them anyway, I figured I would give them a try and save some money. I put one of these spikes in each plant, and they all looked so much healthier and happier after just a couple of days. I also added one spike to the only houseplant that I've had for years without killing (I was beginning to think it was artificial); the leaves looked healthier almost immediately. I'm very happy with this product, and it was a great price." —victoria

    10. An wowworthy exfoliating mitt you can use after a long shower or bath soak to get a simultaneously luxurious and kinda gross (but in a satisfying way!!!) exfoliation experience that'll leave you feeling like a whole new person.

Take it from the user below, who left one of the best and funniest reviews I've read in a while 😂.

Promising review: "Let me start by saying, I never knew that I was a walking, living, breathing mummy zombie lady. The first time I used this glove, I soaked in the bath to get my skin nice and prepped. I whipped that thing out expecting a bit of skin to fluff off, but what ensued was 30 minutes straight of scrubbing skin off that had built up since I was a toddler. I swore at one point I found old Band-Aid goo that had been buried under years of dead skin. OK, maybe that's not true, but with the amount of dead skin that came off my body, it could have been! I finally finished removing my snake skin and began draining the bathtub. What was left was like a scene from a horror movie. The entire bottom of the bathtub couldn't be seen because of the numerous chunks of dead skin clinging to it. That's not counting what went down the drain. I can only imagine that the creatures down there will one day rise to hunt me down and eat me because they gained an affinity for the taste of my flesh. I had to take an extra 15 minutes to clean my bathtub due to the gray, zombie skin that refused to be rinsed away. In other words, if you don't want to be a mummy, zombie person, this glove is your ticket to the living realm. Buy the glove, join the living — thank me later." —Shannon Graham

Get one from Amazon for $5.99 or a pair for $9.99.

    11. A hand-sized dish squeegee so clever and cheap, you're honestly gonna be mad at yourself for all of the times you actually touched icky, wet food that was left on your plate (or wasted paper towels on countertop spills).

hand using tool to wipe sauce from a plate, with text
hand using it to scrape scraps into garbage disposal, with text
    Amazon

It's BPA-free and dishwasher-safe! Plus, one side is curved so it works on bowls as well as plates. I have this and particularly like it for scraping off things that get stuck to the side of a pot after boiling and melted cheese from plates.

Promising review: "This product is AMAZING. We live in a studio apartment, with a small kitchenette. Our sink likes to spray everywhere, and we don't have a garbage disposal. This product is not only is fantastic at scraping food off of our plates (so it doesn't go down the drain), but it helps to squeegee the countertop when water has sprayed everywhere!!" —Elizabeth

    12. A convinient corn on the cob-buttering knife sure to make you wonder why you've ever let the joyous experience of corn on the cob be ruined by messy fingers, unevenly seasoned corn, and inferior butter knives.

hand using tool to butter corn
    Amazon

You can use the cool shape of the knife to slice off the end of a stick of butter or scoop some out of a tub. Plus, it's top-rack dishwasher-safe!

Promising review: "How did I ever get along without this?!? And why have I never seen anything similar before? It just makes so much sense to have a spreader that conforms to the curve of corn. Makes buttering corn on the cob a snap — like half the time than with a regular butter knife. Which is amazing when making a big batch of corn on the cob at once. Sure, it's a little pricey for a single-use gadget, but I really love it. We eat a lot of corn during the summer and I have enjoyed using this spreader. A+ for originality and function." —MaryPies

    14. A grill-cleaning stone made from recycled glass that can also work wonders for cooked-on messes on other surfaces, like pans and enamel cooktops. Everyone will be ~grilling~ you about how you got 'em so clean.

hand using rectangular stone to scrub grill grates
    reviewer's dirty enamel burner
    the burner shiny clean

One stone lasts about two deep clean uses or six to eight maintenance uses.

Promising review: "Wow. Where have you been my whole life!?!? Works great. I use it on my stainless steel grill grates and front lip. For many years the front lip was always dirty. I tried and tried to get it clean but the grease would not come off. I bought the Scrubbin Stone to use on the grates, as I’ve had too many times where I’ve seen the wire bristles from the wire brush fall off onto the grill grate waiting to be picked up by some unsuspecting chicken or burgers, or even worse, steak.  With the stone I don’t have to worry about wire brushes getting into the food ever again. Then I tried it on my front grill lip. I couldn’t believe how easy it was, and how much dirt and grime it took off. It was so easy, amazing, fast, and fun, I just couldn’t stop. I had to clean the whole thing. Cleaning the stone is easy too. When it gets full of dirt and grime, just rinse in the water and it’s ready for more abuse." —Matt M. Foster

Get it from Amazon for $5.99 (or $5.69 with the Subscribe & Save option).

Promising review: "Got this on a whim because my girlfriend wanted to paint the dog's nails. We received it really quickly and the polish went on easily and stayed on. We were cutting the grass and the dog went out and played in the fresh cut grass, running around, and it's still on! A little scuffed but still pretty much solidly on. So far two days have gone by and it's still on. We're going to get more colors." —Diaztortillas

ceiling fan with the ball chains attached, one with a lightbulb shaped pull and one with a fan shaped pull
reviewer's hand holding the two pulls

Promising review: "This is the definition of 'product you didn't know you needed because you didn't know it existed.' I was FOREVER pulling the wrong chain on our bedroom ceiling fan. (Want the light off? Oh no...now the fan's on high. Need to change the fan speed? Eek...now you're in the dark). They're a much better quality than I expected. They're actually quite heavy-duty pull chains, and they add a bit of fun to the decor (when you notice them — most of the time, who even thinks about a ceiling fan pull chain?). As an added bonus, my infant daughter loves staring at them while I change her diaper or jammies. model holding tool with two sides, one with two vertical rollers and one with one horizontal roller
reviewer's finger between dual side of roller

Promising review: "This is one of those OMG wonderful products. I have arthritis in my hands and fingers and am amazed by how much better they've been feeling since I began using this handy little roller on them. And because I have multiple sclerosis, I get a lot of nasty nerve pain in my hands and fingers. 24. CND SolarOil, a low-key magical oil here to banish brittle nails and dry cuticles for good. Nailed it!

a before and after of a reviewer's nails with uneven edges and then looking long and smooth
A before and after of a reviewer with damaged cuticles and then smooth cuticles

Promising review: "I had a problem with my cuticles getting so dry that they would split sometimes, and no matter how many times I put lotion on my hands they would never get moist enough to lay flat like they’re supposed to. My nails were dry and brittle, so I’d end up with one breaking and then have to cut them all back in order to have them the same length. This oil has ended all of that. Now I have to cut them back because they seem to be growing faster. I haven’t had a nail split since the day I started using this oil. It soaks into your cuticles and nails so well. I was really good at using it every day in the beginning, but in the last week I got busy and and only used it twice so I ended up with a split cuticle. That’ll help you remember, right?!?! I got back on track these last two days and the cuticle is healed already. That’s just how moisturizing this stuff is. I highly recommend it!" —mlasorensen

Get it from Amazon for $9.90+ (available in four sizes).

    25. A snaking tool to free your drain of all the hair that's festering down there. I've always thought I had a strong stomach for before and after photos, but people, I think we have found my limit.

clean tool about to go down reviewer's drain
tool covered in clumps of hair from drain

Promising review: "Works so well I might not eat for days. I live in an apartment complex and the maintenance people are pretty strict about not using drain cleaning chemicals but rather calling them to unclog a slow-draining bathtub or sink. However, I have pretty long hair and I'm certain that the maintenance people don't get paid well enough to go up against the horror that's been building up in my bathtub drain over the past several years. When I got the Vastar snake drain cleaner I went straight to work. No instructions needed, the concept is pretty simple: You grasp the tool with the end that's a handle, push the pointy end down the drain, and the jagged part catches on the nest of hair that's swirled its way around your plumbing. I didn't even get the thing 3 inches down before it was getting stuck on clumps of hair and built-up gunk. I gagged my way through getting all nausea-inducing blockage lurking in my bathtub's drainpipe. It's now clear to me why this is a three-pack...there was simply no way I was going to be cleaning off the plastic tool and reusing it. Very happy with this product, glad it comes in a pack." —K.

hands using tiny colander that fits over can mouth to drain water
hands using tool flipped the other way to strain water from tuna can
    Amazon

Promising review: "Life-changing little strainer!! Okay, maybe not life-changing, but this thing is awesome! I used to drain my canned tuna or chicken by just squishing the lid down and hoping I didn’t get squirted with stinky water, but now I place this thing in the can and gently press down to drain the water with the utmost confidence that I will not 1) get injured on the can, 2) get splashed with stink water, or 3) lose any tuna out the side. Ahh, it’s the little things. :)" —jaime138

    28. Super-convenient shower curtain clips to put an end to those small (and not-so-small) bathroom floor floods once and for all. Despite living in a grown-up apartment, I still feel like my mom is going to be mad at me from a thousand miles away every time I leave a small lake behind.

    A reviewer photo labeled
The same reviewer's photo with the note

Promising review: "Got these to hold our shower curtain in the camper. The curtain on our camper shower is just barely wide enough, so water would leak out. Not anymore!!! They blend in, so they look great. Just slide the curtain in and go — no more clean-up after your shower. Wish I had discovered these years ago." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "All, I am proud to post that I had just completed the 2018 Boston Marathon in torrential rain and hurricane winds. It’s like when you walk from your car to your house door and you are soaked from head to toe. One of the absolute worst conditions for a marathon. A friend recommended Body and Foot glide. I coated my entire foot, between the toes and all. NO BLISTERS after 26.2 miles in the pouring rain. Sneakers soaked at the start. I cannot rave more about this product. Incredible value to save you a lot of pain. Highly recommended for bad weather, breaking in new shoes, etc." —Amazon Customer
