Ben Koons' Blood Too "Clean" To Compete

Skier and Maine native Ben Koons was temporarily suspended from the Olympics because his blood tested too clean. It's a complicated thing about naturally high hemoglobin levels and other medical-sciencey-stuff, and now he's just drinking tons of salt water to bring down the levels so he can start competing. Let's show solidarity with Ben by looking at him in his full adorableness:

• While from Maine, he skis for New Zealand

• He's smart and cares about the world

  

  Like Amanda, Ben went to Dartmouth where he spent time in Rwanda building a micro-hydropower generator to provide energy for a village.
