Be honest, could you work with your parents?
Is there anything cuter than a young Jaden Smith in The Pursuit of Happyness? No, there isn't. The father and son took to the silver screen together again in 2013 with the post-apocalyptic action film After Earth.
When you come from the loins of three-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep, it really is no surprise that you were also born to be on the screen. At just twenty months old, Mamie acted alongside her mother in the 1986 film Heartburn. She's since shared the screen with Meryl two more times, in 2007's Evening where she played the younger version of her mother, and in 2015's Ricki and the Flash. She's also said to have filmed a deleted scene for The Devil Wears Prada where she took on the role of a Starbucks employee.
Married couple Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow are all about bringing their kids to work. The whole family have collaborated on two films – Knocked Up and This Is 40, with Judd directing and Leslie and their two daughters, Iris and Maude, starring in roles. With Judd behind the camera, Paul Rudd stepped in to be the on-screen husband and father.
Father and son, Stellan and Alexander Skarsgård worked together on the 2011 Lars von Trier film, Melancholia. While not all family relationships would survive the trials and tribulations of this experience, when speaking to MTV about the film Alexander said that working with his dad was "awesome", and called his dad a "cool cat". Cute!
Clint and Scott Eastwood are probably one of the most prolific family collaborators. Clint's son Scott has appeared in two films alongside his father – Gran Torino and Trouble With The Curve, and also starred in some of his dad's directorial projects, including Invictus. While some may put it down to nepotism, Scott unsuccessfully auditioned for the role of US Navy Seal Chris Kyle in American Sniper a film which was directed by his father proving that he's had to work for the roles he's got.
