This Guy Bought A Town And Renamed It "Gay Hell," And I Have No Choice But To Move There

"The only flags allowed to fly are Pride [flags]."

If you ever read the news and find yourself wondering, "What in gay hell?" then, boy, do I have a story for you.

Because speaking of Gay Hell, it is now the actual name of an actual town in Michigan.

YouTuber Elijah Daniel announced Monday that he had bought the entire town and renamed it Gay Hell to protest the Trump administration's ban on Pride flags outside US embassies during Pride Month.

ahead of pride month Trump’s administration put a ban on embassy’s flying pride flags. so as of today, I am now the owner of Hell, Michigan. I bought the whole town. And my first act as owner, I have renamed my town to Gay Hell, MI. The only flags allowed to fly are pride.

In 2016, the 5-acre property, which is home to about 70 people, had a list price of just $900,000. A steal!

(Yes, ICYMI, the Trump administration recently denied requests from multiple US embassies to fly the Pride flag from their flagpoles.)

So, in his second act as the owner of Gay Hell, Elijah also announced that the only flags allowed to fly in the town are Pride flags.

This isn't his first trip to Hell, though. In 2017, he became mayor of Hell for a day, during which he took the opportunity to "ban all heterosexuals from entering our town."

As of today, August 30th, 2017 I am the legal mayor of Hell, Michigan. This is real. I am the mayor of Hell.

"Growing up, I was always told that homosexuals would go to Hell, now the heterosexuals are trying to take this from us too," his proclamation said.

And if you think Elijah's stunt goes a little too far, just remember there's a host of things gay people can't do that straight people can — so if it takes moving to Gay Hell to live our lives in peace, I know a whole bunch of people who are ready to buy a one-way ticket.

In conclusion, I'll leave you with this.
