    2. For some reason, people seem to think that Melbourne or Sydney are superior. They are WRONG. And here's why.

    3. Darwin is AWESOME. It has the most beautiful sunsets in Australia- quite possibly in the world.

    4. Though there is only about 146,000 people who live there, you'd have to be pretty silly to call it boring.

    5. Darwin is one of Australia's most modern cities because it has been rebuilt twice.

Once after WW2 and once after Cyclone Tracy in 1974.

    6. A third of Darwinians speak a language other than English.

    Didn't think so.

    9. The Mindil Beach sunset is certifiably the best in Australia. Especially with half a dozen oysters.

    10. Plus Darwin has a perfect looking harbour.

    13. After the markets you can always hit the waterfront for some sunbaking and afternoon beers.

    14. Many people don't know that Darwin has a wave pool. Unlike other wave pools Darwin's is a cool place to hang out.

    15. It's never cold in Darwin. Ever.

    22. And the population density is only 0.1 person per square kilometre, so there's never too many people up in your grill.
