10. Back in 2014, there were estimated to be 5250 billion pieces of plastic in the ocean. AND THAT WAS FOUR YEARS AGO.
11. Did you know there's a literal FLOATING TRASH ISLAND in the middle of the ocean, three times the size of France?
12. The equivalent of a garbage truck's worth of trash is dumped into the ocean EVERY MINUTE.
13. Maybe one plastic bottle or one coffee cup won't make a difference, but when seven billion people say that exact thing, it doesn't really work.
14. Even animals living 11 km beneath the surface have had plastic particles found in their stomach.
15. If we all start pledging to use a little less plastic, it will actually have a difference.
16. There are heaps of easy and realistic ways to live a life with less trash.
17. You don't have to suddenly become an eco warrior who refuses to let plastic into their house, but begin by integrating small changes into your everyday life.
