I've seen maybe 5 squirrels in my country in my entire life. They're very shy and live far away in the woods. So it was quite an experience when a squirrel tried to jump on my lap in the US.
@ audreys, the answer is: yes, other large countries like China, Russia and India have pretty extended networks of public transportation. I don't know how reliable it is, but it is used a lot.
Asking "how are you?" in my country could result in a 10 minute one-way conversation of someone (usually elders) telling you their entire life story and why they're not okay.
I think she was looking for an American style metal fridge. It's quite common in Europe to have a build-in fridge that looks like a cupboard. And when there isn't a build-in fridge you generally have to bring your own.
