Daryl's Cry Face Was The Most Heartbreaking Part Of The "Walking Dead" Mid-Season Finale

Posted on

If you haven't watched The Walking Dead mid-season finale yet, stop reading!

The heavily promoted death in The Walking Dead's mid-season finale — RIP Beth (Emily Kinney), who died accidentally at the hands of Officer Dawn Lerner (Christine Woods) — was, without question, a major shocker.

Exhibits A, B, and C: Here are Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Noah (Tyler James Williams) being shocked.

Although, no one was more shocked than Dawn...especially when Daryl (Norman Reedus) retaliated with a single bullet to the brain.

And that led to the single most heartbreaking moment of the episode — and really, all of Season 5:

Daryl. Dixon. Crying.

Because nothing is sadder than Daryl Dixon crying.

Although, to be fair, it's not like Beth didn't warn him.

A previous version of this story referred to Emily Kinney as Emma Kinney. Sorry, our eyes were a little blurry from all the tears.
