    Here's What The Cast Of "The Matrix" Look Like Now

    Believe it or not, it's been 19 years.

    1. Keanu Reeves (Thomas Anderson/Neo)

    After appearing in The Matrix, Reeves earned further critical acclaim by appearing in the John Wick franchise, Constantine, Something's Gotta Give, A Scanner Darkly, The Lake House, Street Kings, and The Day the Earth Stood Still. He also had his directorial debut with Man of Tai Chi, and went on to produce a documentary, Side by Side. Oh, and he also wrote a book called Ode to Happiness.

    2. Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity)

    Although Moss was relatively unknown prior to being cast as Trinity, she quickly gained international prominence following the success of The Matrix series. Some of her more notable roles include Memento, Chocolat, Disturbia, Unthinkable, and Pompeii. She currently portrays Marvel's Jeri Hogarth in Jessica Jones.

    3. Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus)

    Since wrapping up the role of Morpheus, Fishburne's career has continued to have major success. He starred in several cult classics like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Hannibal, and reunited with his Matrix co-star, Keanu Reeves in John Wick: Chapter 2. You've also probably spotted him in Predators, Contagion, Passengers, Man of Steel, and Blackish. Fishburne's next major role is in Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp which is slated to be released later this year.

    4. Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith)

    Since playing Agent Smith in The Matrix, Weaving has become a permanent fixture in Hollywood blockbusters. His next big role was playing Elrond in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, a character he later reprised for The Hobbit films. He worked again with the Wachowskis on V For Vendetta and Cloud Atlas and starred in Captain America: The First Avenger and Hacksaw Ridge. If that's not enough, he also his voice to three of the Transformers films, Happy Feet, and Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole.

    5. Joe Pantoliano (Cypher)

    Post-Matrix, Pantoliano had memorable roles in Memento, Midnight Run, Bound, The Sopranos, and the Bad Boys franchise. He followed this up with smaller appearances in The Perfect Match and Sense8, but most importantly founded a not-for-profit charity and wrote two memoirs to highlight and educate others about his battle with depression.

    6. Marcus Chong (Tank)

    Following on from the success of the first film, Chong was initially set to reprise the role of Tank in The Matrix sequels when talks allegedly broke down over his salary demands. He subsequently sued the studio, claiming that they had succeeded in "blackballing" him from Hollywood. Following the verbal threats he made, Chong was arrested in 2000. Since then he's had a few appearances in some Law and Order, Numb3rs, and Burn Notice episodes, and not much else.

    7. Paul Goddard (Agent Brown)

    Goddard's most prominent role since The Matrix has been playing Stark in Farscape. He's also appeared in Deep Water, Top of the Lake, and Pulse, and was an acting coach on Australia's Next Top Model.

    8. Robert Taylor (Agent Jones)

    After playing Agent Jones, Taylor found success in Vertical Limit, Muggers, and Longmire. He also had starred in Stingers, Ballykissangel, and MDA.

    9. Julian Arahanga (Apoc)

    Since acting in The Matrix, Arahanga has chosen to focus on his work behind-the-scenes instead. He set up his own production company, Awa Films, and has directed Songs from The Inside, Turangaarere: The John Pohe Story, and Beyond the Battalion.

    10. Belinda McClory (Switch)

    While McClory has continued her acting work with roles on All Saints, Kath & Kim, and The Doctor Blake Mysteries, she has also branched out into theatre work. In 2004 she received a Helpmann Award for her role in a play called Frozen.

    11. Anthony Ray Parker (Dozer)

    Parker's main roles since acting as Dozer have been on The Marine, The Resolve, and Spartacus: War of the Damned.

    12. Matt Doran (Mouse)

    Post-Matrix, you're most likely to recognise Doran as Elan Sleazebaggano in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. He's also appeared in Love Is A Four-Letter Word, Always Greener, All Saints, and Redfern Now.

    13. Rowan Witt (Spoon Boy)

    Since appearing as the mysterious Spoon Boy, Witt has had success on Home and Away, Escape of the Artful Dodger, and The 21 Conspiracy. He also branched out into musical theatre, nabbing leading roles in the Australian productions of Into the Woods and The Book of Mormon.

    Note: Gloria Foster who played the Oracle was not included because she passed away in 2001.
