You're the unicorn we've all been looking for. I can't believe you actually exist, wow! Living with someone else is never easy, but you make it a breeze. You're quiet, tidy, respectful, and everything nice — an absolute dream to live with.

You're the roommate of everyone's dreams.

Okay, you're not the worst roommate ever, but you're not the best, either. I know, I know...you're only human, after all. But show your roommate(s) a little love and clean up after yourself. Whether you're living with friends or complete strangers, talk to them and make sure your habits aren't bugging them. Be the roommate you want to live with.

You're a decent roommate.

You might not be the worst, but you're getting real close to being the roommate from hell, so let's fix things before they go downhill. Yes, it's your apartment, but it's their home too, so none of this "it's my way or the highway" business. Pitch in for things, learn to communicate, and most of all, be considerate of your roommate's feelings. As Aretha Franklin says, R-E-S-P-E-C-T — now that's the greatest gift you can give to your roommate(s).

You're not the greatest roommate.

My goodness, you are an absolute terror of a roommate. You better start drafting a 5,000-word apology letter right now, because you're not going to have that roof over your head for much longer if you keep this up. Remember, not everyone has the same kind of lifestyle as you do. Make a change and show some appreciation for your one-of-a-kind roommate(s), who, for some reason, haven't kicked you out yet. This is your chance to turn over a new leaf. Call them up, say sorry, start changing your habits, and buy them their favorite wine on your way back home.

You're everyone's worst nightmare.
