"Harry's is mostly known for its disposable razor subscriptions. Basically, you order a starter kit and based on whatever plan you choose they send you razors and shave gel in the mail. But now the company has branched out from razors and entered into the body wash and bar soap business. The company kindly sent me some so I could try it out and I'll admit at first I didn't think too much about it. It's hard to rip me away from my trusty Old Spice body wash.

Regardless, I switched up my routine for the sake of you beautiful readers and tried both the bar soap and the body wash. The flavor that I was most intrigued by was fig. I smelled it before I put it on and loved it. It wasn't too sweet, and at the same time wasn't overpowering. It just smelled good and fresh. I used a liberal amount and it lathered up nicely. It was great because it didn't leave a film and my skin also didn't feel like the Sahara desert. It just felt clean, and the smelled lingered a bit, something that I like from a body wash.

To be honest, the bar soap wasn't much different from any other bar soap I've tried before, but again the smell was really good, and the lather was nice. I feel like if you're using a bar soap, lather is pretty important and this one delivered. Again it didn't leave my skin feeling dry and I loved the smell. "I have very sensitive, acne-prone skin with rosacea so exfoliating has always been a challenge for me, I have tried various physical and chemical exfoliators over the past couple years but have never really been happy with any of them. Exfoliators with AHAs and BHAs always irritated my rosacea, as did physical exfoliators. So I pretty much gave up on exfoliating all together until I discovered this product by Amore Pacific. It’s a super gentle powder exfoliator that you pour into damp hands and rub together until it forms a lather. Then you massage it into your face for like 60 seconds and rinse. It’s formulated with papaya enzymes that somehow exfoliate your skin?! I have no idea how it works but I don’t care because IT WORKS! I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and my skin already has a smoother texture (my makeup is sitting way better on my skin) and I’ve been having less breakouts. And it doesn’t irritate my skin at all, even if I use it multiple days in a row. The areas on my face with rosacea actually look less red after using it (instead of as red as a tomato which happens after using any other exfoliator.)

I was definitely hesitant to buy this product at first since it’s $60 a bottle (tbh I bought it from Nordstrom because of their return policy because I fully expected to be returning it) but now that I’ve used it, I will absolutely continue to buy it. "Please raise your hand if you've ever felt personally victimized by combination skin. My combination skin is a champion multitasker: It's super dry around the jaw area, oily in the T-zone, highly sensitive and prone to redness, and frustrating no matter the season! I've tried a lot of different moisturizers over the years, ranging in price from $8.99 to >$70 (I know — I KNOW), and it always went the same way: If it moisturized my muzzle (is that a cute or a gross way to refer to my lower face? I can't decide), it left my forehead a puddle of grease. But if it spared the grease, my face was dry, dull, and itchy. I assumed that no matter what, I would always be either a little oily or a little dry, so one fateful day in Sephora, I said, essentially, 'Fuck it, I'm just gonna buy the one with the packaging I like most,' which happened to be Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream. Turned out, it was also exactly what my fussy skin needed.

This cream is chock-a-block with ceramides, which are apparently the Hot New Ingredient (HNI) in skincare. Look, I'm going to be honest: I have no idea whether any of that is even remotely scientifically valid. But I can tell you that I have seen a significant difference in my skin since I started using this cream two months ago. When I bought it, I was in the midst of a cold, and I had the very fetching nostril dryness that accompanies excessive nose-blowing. After two days of twice-daily application, all trace of dryness had vanished. This stuff also claims to 'alleviate signs of sensitivity,' which, as a skin sensie, I can corroborate. I haven't seen a trace of the garden of little red patches that used to bloom all over my face when I lotioned up. AND! My formerly typical late-afternoon forehead shine is a thing of the past. My skin stays hydrated and matte all day. Oh, and it smells, subtly, like a very fancy spa — sort of earthy and fresh, like some expensive kind of dirt that only Gwyneth Paltrow knows about.

"I’ve been using this Shiseido Eyelash Curler since I was in high school and consider it an absolute must-have product for stunning lashes. I’ve tried other eyelash curlers and none give the same dramatic curling effect. The shape of the curler grabs all of your lashes from edge to edge and a few pumps of the curler gets your lashes nearly at 90-degree angle. I currently keep one in my makeup bag and one in my car console to use on the go. For no makeup days, I’ll just use this curler with no mascara to instantly look more awake. When using with mascara, I curl them before and after I apply the mascara and the end result is AMAZING. (I use the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, a cult favorite that’s totally worth a try if you haven’t used it.)

This eyelash curler is often compared to the one from Shu Uemura, another Japanese beauty brand. I own both and personally prefer the Shiseido. "When Glossier told the world they were coming out with a mascara, everyone lost their minds. Well, everyone except for me. According to Glossier's IG stories, this mascara was going to lengthen lashes, wear all day, lift and define the lashes, and come off with warm water. Noted. As someone with pretty much non-existent eyelashes, I really wanted to see if the mascara would lengthen them to the point of spidery-goodness. I feel like I sort of knew not to expect a lot of drama, so I kept an open mind.

I did, in fact, notice my lashes were longer and a bit more noticeable. I didn't notice any clumping, and because of the fine bristles on the brush, I was able to really get to the root and give my lashes that extra curl! If I were someone who was just a get up, quick 'natural' makeup, and go, then I could definitely understand the hype. And as someone who has severe allergies (hello under-eye bags), it was also assuring to see that this mascara didn't irritate my skin. Oh, and completely unrelated-yet-related: The day I tried this, I forgot to wash my face when I went to bed. I woke up the next morning, surprisingly to those darn lashes still in place, not a smudge in sight. This mascara impressed me, and that's a pretty hard thing to do. "I was 12 years old when I tried to sneak out of my house to school with bright blue eyeliner on. Unfortunately for me, my parents didn't appreciate or understand my Britney-inspired ~lewk~ at the time and made me take it off. Tragic, I know. Well here I am, a grown adult who is willing to splurge on a product that rookie- and pro-eyeliner users alike are obsessed with. I'm talking about Kat Von D's Ink Liner, and holy goodness it's *more* than what my preteen self could've dreamed of.
