It's the brand's first mascara and everyone's talking about it.
As a beauty editor, I'm getting hundreds if not thousands of new products on my desk each year. (I know that sounds like a humble brag, but stay with me here.) While I test as many as possible, it is a damn feat when a new product is awarded a spot in my makeup bag for every day use. When I tried Glossier Lash Slick mascara last week, that little tube made my makeup bag a little fatter.
Lash Slick is like putting black leggings on your eyelashes: You get the curvy shape you want, it goes with everything, and it's so comfortable you can wear it constantly without needing to adjust or check yourself. I don't know how these goddamn magicians did it, but the formula makes it so that your lashes are lengthened, darkened, and separated without actually looking like you're wearing anything. On top of that, it's water-resistant, so I have yet to deal with any smudging that gives me fake-ass dark circles.
I only have two issues, both of which are personal preferences, so listen up: Like I said, it's water-resistant, which means it's a little harder to remove than a regular ol' mascara. My other issue is that I usually like my lashes to be more dramatic and Lash Slick is more about that ~au naturale~ look. But TBQH, I love the formula so much that I've kind of changed my preferences and I've become more of a natural woman because of this stuff. Ugh, Glossier, you've done it again.
I've been a longtime fan of the Glossier brand. Some of my favorite products from Glossier include Boy Brow and Haloscope. What I love most about Glossier is how natural the products look in my makeup routine — it's almost like I'm not wearing anything at all.
I was thrilled when I first heard about Lash Slick since it would be the first mascara to come out from Glossier. Mascara is an essential part of my daily makeup routine, and I value a product that can give my lashes length and volume. What I love about Lash Slick is that it's still true to the natural approach of all their other products. It also gives my lashes added drama and volume without clumping at all. My lashes looked as if I had falsies on, but in reality it was just Lash Slick. I love this product and can't wait to make it a key part of my makeup routine. 10/10!
While it hasn't converted me into a believer, I do believe the "natural lash" look could be a thing. Maybe.
