We Tried Starbucks' New Avocado Spread So That No One Else Has To

    You're welcome.

On Tuesday, Starbucks officially started serving avocado spread, which can be used to create the latest food trend — avocado toast. So we clearly had to try it out.

When we opened it up, we noticed it looked a little...mushy. The ingredient label says it contains Hass avocado, sea salt, onion, garlic, jalapeño pepper, and lime juice. So basically, guacamole.

It spread way too smoothly on the bagel, but we remained open-minded.

Once it was on the bagel, it looked like baby poop on a bagel or guacamole on a bagel. Whichever you prefer.

The results: For $2.95, it was just OK. It has more of a guacamole flavor that would taste better with chips than with bread.

But I mean, if you're in an airport and can't find an avocado, this is a solid alternative.

TL;DR: This is just average guacamole, but guacamole is good, so we'll allow this.
