Today I Learned Where Loofahs Come From And I Need To Share This Information
My mind is like a pile of leaves on a suburban lawn. Blown.
Hey! You know these things? Loofahs?

The natural kind. Not the plastic pom-poms you get from CVS.
Did you think they came from the ocean? Because ME TOO.

It's not (y)our fault!!! Every time you see a loofah, it's surrounded by OCEAN PARAPHERNALIA.

I know what you're thinking. That is NOT the ocean. I KNOW. But it's true! They come from gourds!

Sponge gourds and luffa gourds, to be specific! And probably other gourds that I'm gonna hear about in the comment section.
First you dry out the gourd.

And then you peel off the skin.

And inside is a freaking LOOFAH!

So GET LOST, sea stuff!!! Loofahs are LAND THINGS.
