It's A.C.E's world and we're all just living in it. The five-member group from Beat Interactive released their fifth mini-album, SIREN:DAWN, this week and it is truly a treasure trove of tunes that need to be part of your world.

While A.C.E is traditionally known for their powerful and bombastic title tracks like "Savage" and "Cactus," the group dived headfirst in a brand new direction with their new single "Higher." Effortlessly blending future bass and house genres, the smooth title track tells a tragic tale full of love and longing that you'll find yourself listening to over and over again.

Leaning into the album's underwater theme, the song's lyrics depict a fractured relationship filled with regrets and missed opportunities through the use of numerous nautical references. "We're in danger now," sings Chan at the beginning of the track. "Holding you in the rough waves and pushing them away." As the couple attempts to hold onto one another amidst storming seas, they quickly realize that they're fighting a losing game. "The deeper you dive, the deeper you sink," Donghun adds. "We're trapped in a tragedy."

A.C.E's light, lilting vocals make this track even more poignant, especially as its message transitions into one of eternal love and admiration that remains long after the end of a relationship. "Callin’ you, but you are not answering. Yeah, you keep living your dreams," Donghun sings. Wow and Chan join him in wishing the other person nothing but the best despite their heartache, adding: "When the familiar wind blows / you'll know it's me." Vulnerable, poignant, and heart-rending, "Higher" is A.C.E at the top of their game.

This week also saw the release of Pink Fantasy's "Poison" and Tomorrow X Together's "0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) (feat. Seori, ph-1, and Woodie Gochild)," so be sure to check out those songs as well! 🎶
