Draw fake herringbone tiles on the walls and marbleize your terra-cotta pots.
Scrub the rocks clean so the paint sticks, then cover them with gold spray paint. Once the rocks are dry, stick cork adhesive pads to the bottoms so they don't scratch your furniture.
You surprisingly don't need to be that handy to pull off this project. Just mount the dual tracks on the wall, insert the brackets, and lay wood planks over them. Spray-paint the brackets if you plan to make your home office as colorful as this one!
Mix white acrylic paint and water in a large bin and drop splashes of the watered-down accent color into the white. Roll the outside of your pots in the paint and leave them upside down on a drop cloth to dry. After 15 minutes, flip the pots over so the paint drips in the opposite direction.
Stand the jars upside down and cover them with spray paint. Print the labels out on heat transfer vinyl and iron them onto the jars.
Sand down the shine on the laminate, carefully pour the concrete over the counter, and spread it around with a drywall knife. Allow the concrete to dry for about three hours, then sand it smooth. Finally, apply a few coats of concrete sealer to give it a glossy, smooth shine.
Fit the dowels into the copper tees, using a dab of wood glue to keep them secure. Stick rubber floor protectors to the feet so the legs don't slide or scratch the floor.
Get the boxes from the dollar store, or just use a sturdy shoebox. Once you've covered the boxes in black paint, draw lines with a white paint marker. Use a top coat to give the boxes a nice sheen.
Use a few drops of glue to secure the twine to the dowels and stick floor protectors on the bottoms of the dowels.
Connect the pipes using copper tees and elbows, and cover them with a clear coat so they don't change color. Mount them on the wall using flanges and lay the wood shelves in place.
A set of prints can really help to tie a space together. If the printable is elaborate and colorful, print them at your local print store so you aren't wasting a ton of your own ink.
Wire baskets are super trendy right now, which means they're also absurdly expensive. Cut one long piece of hardware cloth for the sides of the basket. Fold the ends over so the wire doesn't stick out. Use pliers to make the crease lay flat, then cut a second piece for the base of the box and weave it onto the long piece with wire. Bend the long piece three times to form the corners and sew them to the bottom with wire.
Follow it up with a top coat so the color stays fresh for years.
Using a subway tile for tracing is helpful, but you can also make a template out of cardboard. Sketch it all out with a pencil so you can erase any mistakes, then use a straightedge to draw over the marks with a paint pen.
Spray-paint the dowels to match the lamp and attach them with copper elbows. Remove the lamp from the base and reattach it to the dowels. Use pipe straps to mount the dowels to the wall.
