Kristen Stewart Reflected On "Twilight" Making A Comeback 10 Years Later, And Rest Assured She's Feeling Her Age Too

"I'm like, 'Wow, I have to go to my high school anniversary already.'"

Lately Kristen Stewart's work is drumming up Oscars buzz and earning nods from the HFPA.

But there was a time not too long ago when many of us knew the Spencer star primarily as Bella Swan from The Twilight Saga, the mid-2000s print and film sensation.

You're most likely familiar with the movies, where Kristen costarred alongside Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and a bunch of other famous faces — even if you somehow managed to miss the Twilight craze during its original run.

The series experienced a full-fledged comeback in 2021, which we can at least partly attribute to Netflix making it available to stream and the fact that fans have been celebrating its re-emergence. There's now an active Twitter account called Twilight Renaissance with 73k followers and counting.

Kristen weighed in on the Renaissance recently, calling it "rad" and "amazing" during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, where she pretty appropriately likened Twilight's nostalgic place in pop culture to that of the Harry Potter franchise.

"I had no idea, [but] it's great," she said of the revamped Twilight fever. "I saw that it was on Netflix … like, it was on there while I was looking through."

"Dude, it's weird because it feels incredibly far away and also still not that far away from me and my time in this film," Kristen continued. "On one hand, you're like, 'Oh, I'm old, my God, I did this five minutes ago. And now it's like, 10-year anniversary.'"

"I'm like, 'Wow, I have to go to my high school anniversary already.'"

Pardon me while I similarly marvel at the passage of time. In the meantime you can watch Kristen's full interview here, or via the clip above.
