Jack Whitehall Paid Tribute To Caroline Flack During An Opening Speech At The BRITs

"She was a kind and vibrant person with an infectious sense of fun. She'll be sorely missed."

The BRIT Awards paid tribute to late TV host Caroline Flack during an opening speech given by presenter Jack Whitehall.

Speaking on stage in London this evening, Jack began the ceremony by making reference to Caroline, who died on Saturday.

"Over the weekend we learned the awful news that a member of the BRITs family, our friend Caroline Flack, tragically passed away," he said. "She was a kind and vibrant person with an infectious sense of fun."

"She’ll be sorely missed," he added. "I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that our thoughts are with her friends and family."

Earlier in the evening, Caroline's ex-boyfriend Harry Styles walked the BRITs red carpet wearing a black ribbon on his lapel in an apparent tribute to her.

The tributes come three days after the TV presenter and host of the reality show, Love Island, was found dead at her London home.

Last night, Love Island also paid tribute to Caroline with an opening monologue from her friend and colleague, Iain Sterling.
