34 Things That'll Probably Be The Best $5 You'll Ever Spend

Only got five dollars in my pocket and these are freaking awesome.

We hope you love the products we recommend! Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. A stainless steel stirring spoon that'll puuurrfectly perch itself right on the side of your mug.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "Love this little spoon! It fits perfectly on the edge of my coffee mug. Now I no longer have to go searching for a spoon to stir my morning coffee! Since it sits on the edge of the cup my fingers don't get sticky from a wet handle. Plus, it's absolutely adorable and makes me think of my own kitty while I'm away at work. This spoon has become an essential part of my morning routine." —Brianna S

Get it from Amazon for $2.29.

    2. A NYX Wonder Pencil, a matte pencil you can use to hide blemishes, as a lip liner to prevent bleeding, or as a waterline eyeliner that'll help brighten your eyes.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I got this to use as a brow bone highlighter, right at the very edges of my brows — after applying brow gel, and I also got it to use as a reverse lipliner, and finally, to use as an eye brightener for my bottom waterline. It's wonderful for my waterline and I really love how much more awake it makes me seem if I'm feeling particularly tired. It just really opens and brightens my eyes when I'm feeling a little bit blah. I also really like it for defining my brows." —Sara D.

Get it from Amazon for $4.49 (available in light, medium, deep, or in a set of all three).

    3. A pack of Command picture-hanging strips that'll aid you in hanging your ever-growing art collection without digging any holes into your walls.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I have found about a million uses for these things. I love them!! I used them to hang some small containers from my bathroom mirrors to put combs and miscellaneous objects in. I used them to mount my internet router, FireTV, and all the wires to the back of my TV so that they are hidden and can't be seen. I used them to mount my paper towel holder to the side of my kitchen cabinets. I used them to mount a sunglasses case on the visor in my car. Seriously — they hold a lot of weight and have a million different uses. About the only thing I didn't use them for was hanging pictures, but I'm sure they're good for that too." —Sheena Bates

Get a pack of four pairs from Amazon for $3.79+ (available in packs of 4, 12, 14, and 24 and in white, black, and white-bath).

    4. A pair of knitted cotton socks perfect for helping set house elves free and your toes nice and toasty.

    Amazon

Promising review: "These are the best priced Dobby socks on Amazon. I searched through a bunch of sellers and these socks are a steal for the price. They will fit any adult foot, women and men standard sizes. They are well made and look great. You can't go wrong with these for any Harry Potter fan!" —Laura D

Get it from Amazon for $6.99 (available in eight designs).

    5. A reusable net grocery bag that'll adorably double as a super cute summer tote.

    Amazon

Promising review: "The colors are nice and the bags are cute. They're small though, not really suitable as replacements for your larger grocery sacks. If you're shopping 'European style' and just want to fit the ingredients for a small, simple supper — like an onion, a wrapped chicken breast from the butcher, a bread roll or two, and a package of mushrooms then it's fine. They're cute and the quality seems decent, just be aware that they're small." —Kindle Customer

Get it from Amazon for $3.57 (available in four colors).

    6. An oversized set of faux pearl barrettes for an elegantly dramatic accessory that'll take your outfit to the next level.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

Promising review: "These are so nice, good quality, and they don't pull your hair out like some metal barrettes. They hold your hair in place. I didn't realize how large they are even though it's well represented with photos and they provide dimensions." —SoCalMom

Get the set from Amazon for $6.99.

    7. A mess-catching laundry detergent caddy so all those drippies coming out of your soap jugs don't make their way on to your floor — it attaches to most economy-sized liquid detergent and fabric softener container spouts.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "Very happy with this product. Fits nicely underneath to hold the cup without dangling too low and the fact that I can just Command Strip attach it to the bottom of the detergent means that it can't/won't slip off the head of the dispenser, as many similar alternatives have been reviewed to do." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $8.34.

    8. A delightfully foul-mouthed coloring book that'll help you get all your frustrations out in the prettiest way possible.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "These are some of the cutest critters to color. What's better than adorable animals with filthy mouths? Nothing!" —Candy

Get it from Amazon for $4.99.

    9. A loose-fitting crewneck T-shirt perfect for all those summer "trips" you have planned — and for the ones you don't have planned.

    Amazon

Promising review: "After reading other reviews, I decided to order one size up...don't! Order your actual size. The fabric is a thick T-shirt material. The print looks just like the picture." —Steph

Get it from Amazon for $7.99+ (available in sizes S-XXL).

    10. A self-standing non-stick paddle spoon ideal for scooping out a hearty serving of fluffy rice.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "Very cute and stands up without wobbling! The paddle is angled slightly backwards so it's a little bit harder to scoop rice, but I still love it! If it ever breaks, I'm definitely buying another (but it's pretty sturdy, so I'm not that concerned)." —Hayley

Get it from Amazon for $5.44.

    11. An enriched and ultra moisturizing soap bar to leave your skin feeling so, so incedibly soft.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I generally make my own soaps and body butters due to the fact that I have extremely sensitive skin but I have completely fallen in love with this line. The lather is luxuriously ample yet gentle. The scent fills the bathroom but does not linger heavily on the body. It leaves my skin clean and soft — not dry as most bar soaps do. I highly recommend the Rose and Mirabelle scents. These bars are triple milled so they do last a while." —NoIWontPutMyName

Get them from Amazon for $4.99.

    12. A dazzling plated silver pendant choker, 'cause you're a star baby! A star!

    Amazon

Promising review: "Really like the design! I love stars! And it can be adjusted. Could be a regular necklace and also a choker. It matches any outfit. Makes me feel chic, especially the silver color." —Gigi Santiago

Get it from Amazon for $4.99.

    13. A pair of retro-inspired tortoise frame sunnies you'll never, ever stress about losing, sitting on, or dropping and then watching slide across the floor — lens side down.

    Amazon

Get it from Amazon for $6.58+ (available in two shades).

    14. A pack of bra strap clips to help hold everything in place and stop you from doing the grab for your sliding straps every 20 seconds.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I've struggled for years with the straps of bras slipping off my shoulders (even on my very expensive bras that I was professionally fitted for). These things are amazing! Absolutely no more slipping! They are very comfortable, easy to put on and it's easy to slip your bra over your head with these straps attached. I bought enough to leave one on every bra, which makes things quick and easy when dressing." —Dolly Daisy Boo

Get a pack of three from Amazon for $3.59.

    15. A set of rubber jar grippers for when you need that extra assistance opening all those impossibly hard to open jars that are really just being difficult for no reason.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "These work great!! Just as intended. I’m not really sure what some people were complaining about. I have small hands and most times I just can’t get a good enough grip on a jar or bottle as I don’t have enough 'hand leverage' over the container. Sometimes I will hold one on the bottom of the jar and use one to twist off the lid for better control if it’s a tougher jar to open. They work great - every time and you don’t have to be Hercules to open a jar." —Kristen M. Howard

Get a set of three from Amazon for $4.99.

    16. An adorable headband designed specifically to get your hair out of your face and your ears in place.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "I love love love this headband! I wear it to wash my face, apply makeup, remove makeup, when I want my baby hairs out of my face...when my ears get cold. I love how nice and thick the band is and how good the quality is. Super soft as well. Fits perfectly tight too. And the ears are just too adorable. I had to buy two more of these...kept one and gifted the other to my sister." —L

Get it from Amazon for $7.

    17. A sturdy little sink strainer you should never froggot to put in when you're doing the dishes.

    amazon.com

Get it from Amazon for $5.99.

    18. An absolutely delightful children's book filled with the story from what is (without a doubt, I don't give a hoot what anyone says) the best movie ever created.

    Amazon

Promising review: "We got this book before the movie came out here in the US. My mother-in-law (who's from Mexico) started crying while she was reading it to my kids because it reminded her of her parents. The movie was incredible too!" —J. Floyd

Get it from Amazon for $43.99.

    20. A silicone oven rack push/pull – it'll help you get access to your hot oven without having to stick your hands in there.

    Amazon

Promising review: "When I was a kid, my mother had an intricate one of these made from wood, so I decided I needed one in order to be a proper adult. I wanted a plastic one since it is living in a drawer where all the kitchen tools go and let's just say that things get washed and then thrown back in without being properly dried, so plastic seemed like the best bet." —Jenn

Get it from Amazon for $4.40+ (also available in bamboo).

    21. Ambi Skincare Fade Cream, made with hydroquinone, vitamin E, and alpha hydroxy acid to gradually fade dark spots — plus it has SPF to help prevent dark spots from getting darker.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "I suffered from cystic acne from around 19–22 years old. I decided enough was enough so I saw a dermatologist and got on oral and topical antibiotics. They recommended I get facials to help with the dark mark scarring once my acne cleared. As a 22-year-old, that expense wasn't realistic. So I decided to try this along with my regimen. Let me tell you: it WORKS! If you are consistent and disciplined. I use it every morning and night along with my topicals (I'm off oral now) and you can see the difference just nine months makes. No more hiding my face. I rarely wear makeup anymore. I'm just a normal 20-something in Los Angeles. This can work for you too! I definitely recommend trying it and keeping with it. The first photo is from July and the second is from October. The third is from early April of the next year. All I can say is THANK YOU." —Danielle

Get it from Amazon for $4.66.

    22. A pack of fluorescent highlighters designed with a clear tip so you can see what you're highlighting and don't overshoot.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I'm a highlighter junkie and I love these. The colors are pigmented enough to draw attention to it but not so much so that I can't read the font that I highlighted. It rarely, if ever, bleeds through paper. I usually avoid green and orange because they tend to be too pigmented and dark but the ones in this bunch are perfect. It also does not smudge and I'm very prone to that since I'm left-handed. I like the clear view part since it helps me see when I should stop highlighting, very precise." —Steph

Get a pack of three from Amazon for $4.88 (available in five color sets).

    23. A pack of collagen-infused eye masks to help combat your lack-of-sleep look and any other general under-eye puffiness that tends to add to your bad day.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "This product is a MUST for anyone who struggles with puffy/dark under eyes! I have horrible under-eye bags thanks to poor genetics and wearing eyeglasses my entire life. At some point, I'm going to have plastic surgery but I will be using these eye masks every day until I can afford the time and money for the surgery. I've enclosed an ugly (but very honest) picture of the before and after results from using this product this morning. I woke up and immediately applied the eye mask. I then wore it for about 25 minutes under my eyeglasses while I went about my household chores until the pads completely dried. When I removed the mask, my under-eye area was looking way less puffy and much brighter than when I woke up. I love this product so much that I'm ordering five more packages today so I have a supply handy." —Mrs L

Get two packs of 30 from Amazon for $4.89+.

    24. A delightfully etched side-view mirror sticker for help with your competive nature.

    Amazon

Promising review: "Oh my gosh, this is so funny! I love this sticker and it gets a lot of attention. I only put it on the driver side of my car, as the passenger side already has the pre-engraved 'Objects in mirror are closer than they appear.' It stays on well after car washes as well. I love this sticker!!" —Mel Point

Get it from Amazon for $2.49.

    25. A reusable makeup-removing cloth, because getting rid of all the excess makeup every night is a f#@%in' chore but this will help make it easier — they just need water!

    Amazon

Promising review: "I was skeptical of these, but now I'm pretty sure they're what Mulan's outfit was made of when she wiped her makeup off on her sleeve in the movie. Even totally dry they're pretty impressive about taking all of my makeup (including waterproof eyeliner and mascara) in a couple swipes. I like to use a little micellar water to make my skin feel a little cleaner. It's nice not to burn through so many cotton pads." —RachelM

Get a pack of three from Amazon for $4.49.

    26. An OXO dish squeegee to help scrape off those stuck-on messes without ever harming their dishes — one might even say this thing helps make sure their china is stayin' alive. Get it from Amazon for $4.99.

    27. A velvet faux pearl beaded headband designed with a knotted detail and in a comfortable fit for a sophisticated look you can wear all day.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I am so impressed with these headbands!! The price is unbeatable and the quality is better than some headbands I have from Anthropologie for a MAJOR fraction of the price. Super excited to start styling it, may just have to get it in more colors!" —Paige Brown

Get it from Amazon for $4.58 (available in seven colors).

    28. A very therapeutic shave gel made with oat and vitamin E for help preventing razor burn and the pain that comes along with it.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "I like that it foams up really well and aids in a close shave — plus it leaves some moisture. Neutral scent and not irritating. Husband even uses it to shave his face. Works well for my legs and underarms too." —MyFeedback4U

Get it from Amazon for $3.64.

    29. A handy little dishwasher magnet to remind a certain someone that they should have unloaded the dishwasher by now.

    Amazon

Promising review: "Not too much to say here. It will remind you that your wife wants you to empty the dishwasher. It will also remind your wife that you haven't emptied the dishwasher." —Taz

Get it from Amazon for $5.23.

    30. A set of whimsical little bag clips so you can keep your food fresh and maybe even stop all those little critters you live with away from your food — and by critters I mean your roommates.

Get a pack of 84 from Amazon for $4.99.

    32. A set of flame-retardant socket sealers designed to stop the cold air from leaking into your house and messing with your warm and cozy home.

    Amazon

The 24-piece set includes 16 outlet sealers, 6 switch plates, and 2 decorative covers.

Promising review: "Socket sealer. Say it with me. Socket sealer. Alliteration can be so much fun. Okay, now with that out of our system, down to brass tacks. I love these. They're cheap and easy to install. They block the draft that is sure to come out of an electrical outlet or a light switch. I've used these in apartments and in houses. They work both ways. Just unscrew the plate, slap one of these bad boys in, and screw the plate back in. Just be sure to not touch metal to metal or skin to metal. It's a good idea to flip the breaker to deactivate the outlets you're installing these on. Otherwise, you'll give yourself a nice jolt. Or three. You know how everyone tells you not to stick a fork into an outlet? The same principle applies here except your finger is the fork and you can't taste purple for a while. So do yourself the favor of flipping the breaker before installing these. Don't make the same mistake as I did. Once. Or maybe three times. I can't remember too good now." —Frequency Jones

Get the 24-piece set from Amazon for $2.88.

    33. An inspiring vinyl wall decal that'll be your daily reminder to leave your house and kick some serious ass.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "Holds up well, easy to apply, long-lasting, and easy to remove when done. I used this in a classroom on the front whiteboard. Easily applied early in the school year — bold/solid black. Stayed up with no problem. Easily removed at the end of the school year. I would buy again, the quality was good and the words are NOT individual letters that you have to apply one at a time. The whole phrase is on clear cellophane that you apply all at once and then remove the cellophane. So easy!" —M. Brooks

Get it from Amazon for $1.99.

    34. And a handy little pocket mirror designed to look identical to your MacBook except it fits in your back pocket...and isn't a computer, it's a mirror.

    Amazon

Promising review: "This thing is really cute. Looks like my MacBook Air and came in a nice, little box. Shipping does take longer than expected but the seller was very helpful. I've ordered three more to give away as gifts for fellow Mac users. It's a handy little mirror, I needed something for contact lenses. This is perfect. The lid stays up straight so I can use my hands for contact lenses instead of having to hold the mirror open." —Reena

Get it from Amazon for $4.06.
