Like many of us, YouTuber and makeup mogul Jeffree Star is currently self-isolating at home as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, like very, very few of us, Jeffree is doing his isolating in his new $15 million Hidden Hills mansion, complete with cinema, gym, at-home spa, temperature-controlled wine cellar, and personal glass elevator.

In March, during a video titled "Never Leaving My House Again", Jeffree could be seen greeting guests and leaving his house to pick up a custom pink McLaren. Most recently, he had two new Pomeranian puppies delivered to his door.

And it all came to a head this week, when Jeffree posted this photo of himself and his social media manager, Kammi, after doing their makeup in quarantine.

Quarantine and do our makeup 💕 #jeffreestarcosmetics

His replies were immediately flooded with people expressing concern that he wasn't following the rules of social distancing, with one person saying the photo was "literally the opposite of quarantine".

@JeffreeStar Your deff not taking social distancing seriously at all.. but ya cool glad you go to do your makeup

@JeffreeStar that’s literally the opposite of quarantine btw

@zacheryyyy @JeffreeStar Thank you ! I’ve been wanting to say something for a bit ! His hand delivery of 2 new puppies , is not quarantine . How about his flawless nails? They are still getting done by a Neil tech . Plus how many people live at his house ? He seems to have a few people coming and going

@JeffreeStar newsflash, its not quarrantine when you have someone over, also, you are in the high risk category with your asthma, so risky for you to have anyone over

"You have a LARGE audience and you should be setting a better example," one person wrote.

@JeffreeStar That doesn’t look like social distancing to me Jeffree... I love you, your makeup, and your content, but you have a LARGE audience and you should be setting a better example🤷‍♀️

However, others jumped to Jeffree's defence, pointing out that he has several members of his team and his family living in his house, including Kammi.

@JeffreeStar Y’all don’t realize Jeffree has like 10 people living with him and it shows

"He lives in a castle guys," one person wrote. "You really think he's living there alone?"

@JeffreeStar He lives in a castle guys... you really think he’s living there alone??

And, of course, Jeffree took a moment out from his self-isolation activities to respond to the accusations himself.

In a now-deleted tweet, Jeffree said Kammi has been living with him temporarily because she can't be with her family.

"I think people don't understand that my family and employees don't want to be famous or be on social media, so I don't talk about them or show them," he went on. "I get how it looked."

Exactly.. I think people don’t understand that my family and employees don’t want to be famous or be on social media, so I don’t talk about them or show them and I get how it looked, just wanted to clarify who Kammi was! https://t.co/utTMWz8yw8

Well, there we have it. I guess Jeffree, his employees, and his bathrobes are abiding by the rules after all.

I’ve worn a bathrobe for 3 weeks straight and forgot what normal clothes feel like 🥺
