Here Are The First Photos Of The Harry Potter Play Cast In Character

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – the West End play telling the story of Harry's son, Albus, at Hogwarts – opens at the Palace Theatre in London on 7 June.

Today Pottermore ~finally~ revealed the first portraits of the cast in character, and they're absolutely perfect.

The photos come alongside the announcement that Ginny Potter will be played by Poppy Miller, and Albus Severus Potter will be played by Sam Clemmett.

This is our first time seeing Jamie Parker in character as Harry, with the iconic scar and glasses. And he looks spot on, tbh.

"He simply is Harry now," J.K. Rowling said of Parker. "There's a kind of relief in watching him; he gets it so right."

The photos also give us our first look at an older Ginny Weasley – who is now Ginny Potter.

And we also get to see Sam Clemmett as Albus Severus Potter, in the newly designed Hogwarts robes.
