Chrissy Teigen Criticised Ivanka Trump After She Tweeted Suggestions For "Fun Family Activities" In The Midst Of The Coronavirus Pandemic

    "After we quote pack unquote sandwiches can we please have COVID tests?"

    So right now, me, (hopefully) you, and all our favourite celebs are staying at home as much as we possibly can due to the worldwide coronavirus crisis.

    Among those celebs is, of course, Chrissy Teigen, who's been keeping us all up to date on her quarantine activities over on Twitter and Instagram Live.

    Really, Chrissy's been doing great.

    What’s that thing with short pieces of yarn called with the metal hook and u make a yarn carpet painting whats that called

    But while Chrissy's mostly been keeping the rest of us entertained, she's still not opposed to calling people out when they do something she doesn't agree with.

    For example, earlier this week, President Trump's daughter Ivanka tweeted an idea for a "fun activity" for those who are staying at home with kids during the outbreak.

    Staying home today w/ kids? Plan living room camp out! Throw a bedsheet over some taped together brooms. Plan a menu & β€˜pack’ sandwiches, salads (S’mores optional😜) A fun activity that also brings family together for a meal! Share your ideas & use the hashtag #TogetherApart

    Ivanka also encouraged others to share their ideas for fun family activities by using the hashtag #TogetherApart.

    It's safe to say the tweet didn't go down very well, with many people pointing out it showed a lack of consideration for parents who are struggling to find childcare and don't know if they're able to work due to the pandemic.

    No one can possibly be this clueless. She knows single moms have to figure out how to get to work with their kids home from school, people are desperate to ensure elderly relatives are cared for, people are trying to afford enough food in advance to get by for a couple of weeks. https://t.co/56OsfsCnNu

    Ivanka sends a lot of tone deaf tweets, but this one really takes it. How can she not know that parents without her means are struggling to figure out child care and panicked about whether they'll be able to go to work? https://t.co/D4njp0QnaI

    "Cool privilege on display," one person wrote.

    @IvankaTrump Cool privilege on display.

    Others pointed out that the photo Ivanka used isn't even recent β€” in fact, the baby she's holding in the photo is now almost 4 years old.

    This photo is years old. Ivanka's youngest son is 3-years-old -- and her daughter is 8. https://t.co/jO9TiS7K4Z

    And among those unimpressed with Ivanka's tweet was Chrissy Teigen, who had another suggestion β€” that the US government provide the general public with more tests for the coronavirus.

    While confirmed COVID-19 cases in the US just crossed 5,000, experts have estimated that the true count could be closer to 50,000, with most remaining undetected due to lack of testing.

    "Also that's a clothing rack but yeah America only understands 'taped together brooms,'" she added.
