Ariana Grande Reportedly Donated The Profits From Her Atlanta Tour Stop To Planned Parenthood

"Thanks to inspiring support like hers, Planned Parenthood can continue to fight back against these dangerous attacks on people’s health and lives."

Ariana Grande is currently travelling the US on her Sweetener World Tour, and on Saturday, she stopped to play a show in Atlanta.

Last month, Georgia governor Brian Kemp signed a law effectively banning abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detectable — around 6 weeks into pregnancy.

Many celebrities have spoken out against the laws, including Ariana, who reposted several images on her Instagram story. One of the images called the situation a "war on women."

Now Ariana has reportedly donated the profits from the Atlanta show of the Sweetener tour to Planned Parenthood, who will use the money to "fight back" against anti-abortion laws.

In a statement to People, Planned Parenthood president Leana Wen expressed her gratitude for Ariana's donation.

Ariana Grande’s generous donation comes at a critical time — in Georgia and across the country, anti-women’s health politicians are trying to ban all safe, legal abortion.

"Thanks to inspiring support like hers, Planned Parenthood can continue to fight back — in the courts, in Congress, in state houses, and in the streets — against these dangerous attacks on people’s health and lives," the statement said.

The donation is reported to be around $300,000. Representatives of Ariana have been contacted for comment.
