Rolling Stone is like a creepy 50 year old guy hanging out at a college bar trying to pick up 20 year olds. Old, dusty & out of touch, desperately trying to stay relevant, yet constantly striking the wrong note & unwilling to shoulder the blame.
Dammit, Buzzfeed! Today's the 25th anniversary of the day my dad died (I was 12). I shouldn't have even clicked on this, but I did, & now I'm bawling at work. Treasure your parents, guys. You'll miss them when they're gone.
At my sister's shower, each one of the guests picked a number from 1-18 out of a jar. Then we wrote letters for her daughter to open on the birthday we'd picked. My niece just turned four, & its been pretty special to see who wrote to her each year & what they wished for her.…Â
The lemur's name was Zabu, I think. Just sayin'. Otherwise, this list is pretty much a perfect representation of my son's childhood. Fitting, since he turns 16 today.
My kids (who are 16 &10) & I have been known to break out in this song often. People are impressed when we do it while one of us is trying on clothes.
